Christmas Wreath

The last few days I've been playing with this beautiful stamp by Flourishes called Christmas Wreath, I've had this set for several years but I never used it.  Every year I'd pull it out and try stamping it then coloring it and it always looked ucky to me, I could never make it as pretty as I wanted or seen others do with it.  But then I saw Marybeth's used a nother wreath and it just looked like something I should try with this stamp I have... so I kepted it and want to share both Marybeth's version and mine.
So here's my try at it......
I colored one with a red bow and the other green...
All I had to do is use Versa Mark and Gold embossing and then just a little coloring... it was so easy this way.   I could not believe I was trying to make it into such a big thing.

Here's a closer look.............

and I kept the inside simple too, there was a small wreath in the set so I used that and then a saying from another Flourishes set called Winter berries.
The base card I used is NEW to me card stock that a Blogger that I watch daily uses and after talking with her about it I had to get some.... Go to The Spotted Chick and at the bottom of her post on the Nov. 10th you'll see:  ENVIRONMENT Desert Storm Card Stock - 8 1/2 x 11 in 100 lb Cover Smooth 100% Recycled, order it right from there!!!
OH my Gosh is this stuff nice.... I love it!  Been looking for a nice heavey Krafty paper and this stuff is perfect, I hope you check it out.

Ho Ho Ho !!!!

This week I've been working on some Ho Ho Ho cards... made 12 all together, 4 from each sheet of pattern paper.  All the same layout but look but each has it's own look I think. So here we go.
This first pic is a close up so you can see how there made.

This is the inside, I used half of the die cut from the front for the border on the inside.

this is the second one......

and here's the last one.....

Even tho all are the same layout, I think they look different... Only used 2 stamps, the Ho Ho Ho is a CTMH called Santa's Greeting Holiday- M1028, and the inside is another CTMH set called Peace on Earth- D1243 an oldy but a goodie...
Let me know what you think I'd like to know!

Fabulous Flamingo

Today I need a card for a Dear Friend that lost her husband this year.  She's been feeling low when we talk so I wanted to send her something to make her Smile.
Just received this stamp set by Reverse Confetti, it's been on BO for a while but remembered to check again and both the Die and Stamp set were in stock so....... here we are.

I made the water with my Creative Memories wavy cutter, haven't used this thing in YEARS, forgot I even had it, but it worked rather will I think.  I only used the Fabulous on the front with 1 of the Flamingos.

here you can see the layers......

....and the inside, did the same wave cut at the bottom and stamped the second Flomingo, then stamped the whole saying here.

Harv

First I want to Thank all of you that stop by to visit and leave comments... It's so nice to know people are out there watching :)

Todays card is a FUN guy card.... or he could be used for any Celabration.
It's "Harv" by Art Impression, take a look and see what you think.....
Is he not just a Hoot!!!! For the border around the Wonky Rectangle I created a frame using stripped paper.  Saw this on Jenny Gropp's blog she even did a qucik How-to-viedo.  It's such a cute idea, I had to use it.  Now for Harv, he was So much FUN to color and the ballowns I used from another AI stamp set called 29 Again.

Here's a close up of the ballowns with the strings, you may not be able to tell but there's  Glossy Accents on them too....Just look at the face... he is just so cute!

and the inside... I used a pice of the stripped paper that I used for the frame for the front. The saying is a AI stamp too...

Winter Berries Samples ?

Hi All,
WOYWW  and I have a question for you today.
I was trying something new with this stamp set.... I've seen so many gals stamping white  on dark papers and it always looks to pretty so I tried it.... tell me what you think.
The one on the right I stamped it with CTMH White Daisy pigment ink and used Stampendous! Star Dust Transparent embossing power... I over heated it in the middle where the berry's are so the white and sparkle didn't show up very will but it did on the ends....
And the one on the left I stamped it with CTMH White Daisy pigment ink and used White embossing power.  it's a real stark white and not sure if I like that....
What do you think??
Any advise is welcome!

Dustin's TWO

No it's not Dustin's BD, I'm just way early....... this is for his BD in December.....But I found this CUTE little boy blowing bubbles and it looked just like him.  So I had to get it and made his card right away.
I so enjoyed coloring him too... he really does look like little Dustin..

Here's a close up of the layers and the bubbles, I put 2 layers of Glossy accents on the big bubbles and there real deep.

And here's the inside,  I reused the same papers and die cut some clouds...
It was really very simple, but it looks very nice.

Will that's it for today... What do you think?

1st Christmas Balls card

Will here's my first card using the Christmas balls I posted on Wednesday.
I really like how it turned out, but I must say it took me about an hour to get the idea moving in my head.
Here a close up.... it show all the different things I used.  The main Christmas ball was stamped with Versa and then embosed with Stardust Transparent, the sparkle shows up nicely here, then I placed it into the Grace's Frame embossing folder, then I cut that out close the the frame and rounded the corners.  The next layer was made with Gold poster board I got at Hobby Lobby and cut it down into usuable pices, here I used Spellbinder die called A2 Polka Dots/S5-133. The ribbon and bow were just some I had already.

Here's the whole front....... it's quit pretty in person, I don't think it shows thru here.

On the inside I used the left over pice of gold from the front and then used Grace's Frame again,  I tryed to edge it with gold but it did not look right so I put some black over it and will that's with I got, think I'll leve it alone next time. The verse is from a Flourishes set called Winter Berries/SS255, and No your not seeing doubble, I stamped it twice. Dont think I'll do that again either.....the first time I used Encore metallic silver and did't show I went over it with Grey Flannel.

So what do you think?

Christmas Balls.....

Today I'm trying different heat embossing out on this Judi-Kins / Enameled Christmas - 2884 G.
The one on the left is stamped with Versa and embossed with Jiudi Martallic Gold.  This gold is a nice heave gold look, very rich looking.
Center was also stamped with Versa and embossed with Stardust Transparent.  Now this one is more a tone on tone with sparkles in it, I like this one because it's a little sidle.
On the right was stamped with White Daisy and embossed with winter wonderland Opazue. I like this one too, the white has a sparkle in it too.
I don't think the sparkles are showing up in the photo thow.

Which one do you like???

29 ???? Realy?

Are we celebrating 29 ...again?

Yes that is the question.......
This sweet lady is a stamp set by Art Impressions call what else.... 29 Again / 4372.
She was quick and easy to color and I even did a little shading with her.
Stamped two balloon's and popped that up too.

Here you can see the layers and that I edged all the papers with a dark brown.

and the inside, just a little strip of the same papers I used on the front and a cute verse.
That's it for today.

Wood Mount stamps compleated

Hi All

For the last week I've been recuperating from Eye surgery and still can't see out of my left eye very well.....  but wanted to complete my last phase of Organization of all my stamps into one place and container. It's been 1 month and 3 days since I started changing my Wood mounted stamps into Cling Mount.... and I can finally say I'm DONE,,,,, YEAAAaaaaaaa **********

Here's a shot of the SU boxes with just the wood blocks in them and the New way I have the stamps filled in these nice Avery Elle Storage pockets.

The stack of 36 SU boxes was  over 41 inches tall and now fit into a file draw 13.5 long by 6.75 wide.
OH MY LANDS what a difference this has made. All I need to do now is file them in with all my other stamps that I have already put in the Avery Elle pockets.

I have them filed by Birthday, Thank You, Fun, Old Folks, Kids, Flowers & Bugs, etc........just not having to go and look for lets say a flower stamp in the 4 draws where all my SU were and a box I had all my CTMH in and binders I had all my clear stamps in, lets just say I had know idea where anything was anymore and just was not happy. I just LOVE that I have this phase of my Organization completed and now going to just sit back and enjoy it before I move on to my next phase.......

And maybe in a few weeks I'll be able to see better too... If these pics are blurry all I can say is I'm sorry and I'll redo them when I can tell...but just had to post this today I could not wait*******

Goofy Things....

Morn'in All....
I've been working on some fun cards that could be used for Men or Ladies... or at least that was what I was going for, let me know if you think the same or not..
Here's a close up of my little Ducky....He's from an old CTMH stamp set called Makin' Waves (C1365) there are 5 different ducky's and I love them all.  I stamped him on Watercolor paper and used SU Watercolor Crayons to color him.  But the background blue I bought my 1st Distress Ink pad called broken china, and tried to watercolor the background.... when it was dry i went over it with a clear Wink of Stella pen..I tried several shots to let you see the shine but no luck.

Here's the whole view of the front, I even used some sequins here and there.... on the little ducky face mask and bubbles I put Glossy Accents but it's not showing up either...
The saying is from Art Impression call Goofy things (UMF2637).

Here's another view......

and this is the inside....
here I used 3 different stamp sets...
The Celebrate came from-Inkadinkado-Birthday Cupcake 97628,
next the Life is better is from-Cloud 9-Simple Thoughts Laughter,
and then the HB is from CTMH-Happy Birthday (C1257)
Even thow they are all different I think they work well together.

So what do you think, please let me know.

Walker Swing Cut card

Hi Again***
As promised in my last post I tried the Swing Cut Card again using a larger die this time and it worked.... Yea....*
So here we go...............
For this card I used a piece of double sided paper that was nice and heavy.... (but after I got finished I think I should have used card stock) The image is a Art Impressions stamp called Golden Oldies UMT3476, that I stamped and embossed then colored with SU Watercolor Crayons.  Used a little Glassy Accents in the glasses and Wink of Stella Gold on her Jewels.....

Here's a bit of a side view as it opens......

And this is the card open....
the left panel on the inside has another AI saying called The Body May be slow UMG3505, and the saying on the right is a CTMH called what else Happy Birthday C1257.
I just cut 2 more backgrounds out with the reverse paper and then add the white with the sayings...I did outline them all with black to let them stand out some....but that was it.
I got my measurements and idea for this Swing card from Splitcoast Ideas here are 2 links.
I think I'll try this second one next....
Ok, tell me what you think, REALLY!!!!

Celebrate- Swing Cut Card

Hi All....
Today I'm posting a card I've been working on but it didn't quit make the cut.....
I was trying to make a Swing Cut Card but..... I didn't pick a die big enough to do the swing with....So this is a modified version.
I posted more pic than I usually do but this was hard to get what I though should be in each view.
Here's the front view.... the stamp is by Impression Obsession called Birthday Drink E2282...
I stamp and embossed it and then colored with SU watercolor Crayons.  I used some gold Wink of Sella for the flame... Love this stuff*** and used Glossy Accents for the drink (I don't think you can tell in any of the pics). Then I cut it out with a Spellbinders dies.  All the background papers are from SU

Here's the first fold and cut.......

and a different view of the same......

and still another view with it open a little bit.....

and here's the inside view....the Celebrate at the top show thru to the front of the card when it's closed...
I must say even thow it's not a true Swing cut card I like how this turned out..
How about you???
I'm going to try another one in the next few days....

Manly BD- Over the Hill????

Today post is for a Manly BD card...these are the hardes cards to make... no frills, no fancy stuff, just Manly.......
Here we go.......
This is the front... I used the wood grain embossing folder for the background and then I had a small piece of paper that had horns all over it that I used for the diamond.  The Curved Antlers are by Memory Box and the Over the Hill? is by CTMH....
and the side view show that I popped the antlers up.....

Here's a view looking down on the card.  I usually don't show both halves like this but wanted you to see the wood grain and the cut out part of the Antlers there.

and here's the  complete saying by CTMH... and I added a small pices of wood paper I had to the bottom, that I just tape across the bottom so you can tuck a little something in....
