Christmas ??????

 Will this last few day, maybe a week off and on I've been trying to use some of my Christmas stamps that I already have...and not been able to use or make work and look good....
Here they are............

Yes the middle one I think is a keeper........ and the Holly branch is going to be used too, that's just a single layer there but may make the card just like that... not sure..
But the Berry branch, now that's a whole nother story.... I just have to work with that..Got it a few years back (and LOVED IT) and every year I try it... so far no luck . I looked it up on line and found a few great ides but need one that is Quick and easy (for me)... but I'm not giving up.

Yep! You guessed it another Art Impression stape set, this one called Fire Out..........
She will Love this because the little lady on the front I marked with my Mom's name and they are always at each other.......

BD Boy

 Today's card is a Fun one by Art Impressions stamp set called Birthday Wishes.  I like it because it can be used for young or old.....
Made this one for my hubby's Son, he's Younger than us of cours, so that makes him in-between....

 this saying came in the set and it differently fits us....

That little guy on the mushroom was part of the paper background from the front, had to use him...

It's the Art Impression stamp set call what else? "29 Again" ???
Both the saying and the little old lady came together...love her look...

Hubby's 70th !!!!

 My hubby's 70th BD is tomorrow.... He is NOT looking forward to it... he just HATES his BD's.... such a PooP...
So I try to make something Fun for him every year, so here's my try for this year.....

 

This is the front... I know it looks a little odd.... but keep going....

It's really hard to see but there's 2 balloons with 70 on them in the very back... along with the fish, fishing poll, boat, dock, and of course the Dog,

As hard as these are for me to make I hope he likes it..... but if not there's always next year.....

Figs

 Will I on a roll..... Tried the same thing I did with the Water Lilies but with Figs today...
The trick is that the stamp has to fit all the way across the paper.  If it's just part of the way, I could not get it to look right.... so for now this design is limited to larger stamps.  Which is not a problem really.

Water Lilies

 Yesterday I made this card up and wanted to share it with you.... It went together very quickly so know I'll be making more.

 

Now isn't that an easy card..... I stamped the Water Lilies at the bottom of some Bristol and then colored it with with ZIG pens, cut away the bottom part and popped that up to give some poff. Then  placed a small piece of blue CS at the bottom with the, "thinking of you"embossed with white.  and that's it....

and the inside I used the same blue CS and stamp.....

Wild Roses

 Today's card is on the same style as the last two days....

 

This is another Flourishes stamp set called Wild Roses.... I've used it many times but never like this, and love the look.... Think I'll be doing more like this with different colored flowers... 

 

 

and here's the inside... I embossed and colored  this and still have plenty of room to write...

Single Flower

 Today I tried the same thing I did yesterday but with a different stamp....

 

I used the same Glossy White for the base card... and Desert Storm for the flower with white embossing again.  

I love this one too....

 

And this is the inside.... I love it too.....

Somethin New!

 Yesterday I tried something new for me....

1. For my card base I used some Glossy White card stock.
2. I did White embossing on Desert Storm CS.
3. I colored it with one color.
4. and then embossed Velum. 

Yep, and I loved how it turned out....

 

You really cant tell the white is glossy cs but it is... and looks beautiful...I had bought this Glossy CS years ago to print pics on but never did..... so though I'd try it here... 

Now the flowers are an Old stamp set from Flourishes called Happy Thoughts... and just stamped it twice on both ends of my Desert Storm CS with Versa and did the white embossing... same thing with the Happy birthday.  The pink is from ZIG pen/brushs.... then I cut away the bottom and top just a little and I did use a green pen to go around the outer edge.... and that was it... .

 

Here's a closer look at it....

 

and then the inside I did it the same way... just stamped it with Versa ink but no embossing and colord the top flowers and left the bottme plain so it's easer to write over.... 

But that was it...

For me to get a card finished in an hour is really something but that was all it took... it all just fell into place...

Happy Mother's Day!!!!

 Here's a card I made for my Mom.... she's 93 and going strong!

 

Will I though the pic was good till I posted it.... you really can't see all the little beads in the center of the flowers and the shine to the butterfly's.... but in person it's very petty.... really!

 

Here's a another shot from a different angle, maybe it shows up better.....

Got the idea for the lats work on the fold side from Splitcost stamps last weeks news letter... was really easy to do.  You need paper with front and back printed different so it show up better...

As soon as I got them I had to see if I could tell them from the Avery Elle... Truthfully I can't tell any difference at all... none.... 

I've been buying the Avery Elle in the 25 packs for 8.00 to 12.00 bucks so you can see the savings...

Just had to let anyone that reads this know.... tell your craft friends even if you don't use them it's really a good deal.
And Know I don't know these people or am I getting anything from them, I just had to share this.

Get Well day 3

 Here we are on day 3 for my Get well cards...and here's my card for today.

 

This old gal is really having a bad mornin'.  and I just LOVE this stamp... she is just perfect in so many ways... I added the checkered floor, but the rest is the stamp set. 

Oh I just want to laugh when I see this.... what a look.... my goodness....

I've used him before but never like this with a all white background... it really makes him look even sadder....

Get Well

Yes, today something different!!! Yea!!!
 I was also in need of some Get well cards so today I worked on this one....
Bugs, Bugs, Bugs.....yeaks......

 

I just love this little bug,,, I put him in the mason jar and added some sad colors on him......

Sympathy day 4

 This will be the last one for awhile I think.....
I went with something a little different here.... Had made some like this last year and liked them so well I made a few more... these can be made into BD or other cards too very easily...

 

Here you can see I did some layering and even used some ribbon, a few sequins too. Boy I really went all out here.... just kidding, but for me to use ribbon and sequins is a big deal.

Smypathy again....

 Today's is another Sympathy card......and I based it from another card maker ; "The Creative Closet" 
 Cindy has such a clean style, but I can never match it.....
Here's my try;

 With out the white strip going across it, it makes it quit dark, but I had already GLUED down the velum (bad move)... the next one I will use the white strip for sure......I did used clear Wink of Stella on the flower but can't see it here very will, it kind of looks like dust....that did help brighten it some, but not enough.

 

Here's the inside, I used a strip that I cut off from the front on the inside...

Sympathy

 These are the hardest cards to make........
Today I made a few on the style of : "That's MISTER Cardmaker"
 card here..... check his out and see what you think.
Here's my version;

 

I used these Peacock Feathers because I didn't have any nice flower dies.... but like this look too....

I painted them with Twinkling H2o's that I had, but never think to use...

 

This is a little closer shot but you really cant see all the twinkling like I do in person.  sorry...

Just another reason Sympathy cards are so hard to make.  You don't want them to showy but then not to plane either....
