Flowers

Morning Everyone!!!
Today I'm in the mood for Flowers.... it's been sooooo HOT here that I wanted to do something that would make me feel Cool.
This is a close up of the bottom part of the card.  I used Spellbinders Fancy Tags for the Happy Birthday, and the Cuttlebug folder Bird & Swirls (37-1609) on the yellow paper behind it.  And then across the bottom I used an EK-success border punch, can't remember the name of it, which they would have the name on there punches along with the pictures.....

Here is a close up of the flowers... Love all the colors..
The stamp set is from SU-Bloomin' Beautiful, it has another flower that is just beautiful too, along with a cute little bee in flight and two sayings...I colored these with SU-Watercolor Crayons and a Aqua pen....
Love the look... AND in the middle of each flower I put a drop of Liquid Pearls.

Here is the whole thing....
The Flowers are on white card stock and I used Spellbinders Labels One to cut it our, and then SU-Dimensional to pop it up.
The same border punch was used across the top too, just a different color paper.

and here's the inside....
The saying inside is from Cloud9 (Simple Thoughts-Happy Birthday, I love all of them in this set and there's 12 with other little goodies too.
This was another fun card for me.....

The size of the completed card is 5.5 x 4.25 and will fit a A2 Envelope.
This card with decorated enevelop cost 3.50/each, and like anything hand made no two will be alike, maybe very close but can't promise.
Thanks for stopping by again!
Hope you Enjoyed!!

2 Ducks!!

2 Ducks....I just LOVE these little guys, they are from a CTMH stamp set called Makin' Waves (C1365).  It has 5 of these little guys playing in the water doing all kinds of cute stuff, with 2 sayings and a few other little watery things.  Just love this pack!

Today I tried something new, Dimensional Pearls by Adirondack or Ranger.  On this close up shot below you can see where I dotted the Terra Cotta color  around the edge of the papers... What do you think?
It's very easy to do, I had never seen it before till I was looking at this blog; http://sunnysankari.blogspot.com/
and she uses them on just about all her cards...
They come in a little plastic bottle (1-oz) just like the Stickles with the pointy noise for easy dabbing. She also use the Liquid Pearls by Ranger, these seam to be more pearley and are in a smaller bottle (1/2-oz) but I'm sure they will go a LONG way...

Here are the 2 Ducks side by side.... the one on the left has Green spots-dots in the corners and the top and bottom of the yellow lable.

and here's the inside of them both.

The size of the completed card is 5.5 x 4.25 and will fit a A2 Envelope.
This card with matching envelope cost 3.50/each, and like anything hand made no two will be alike, maybe very close but can't promise.
I had a ball playing with the Liquid Pearls and plan on using them often.
Thanks again for stopping by!!
Hope you enjoyed today's post!

Now you can really see the springs, tee, heeee.....!
The size of the completed card is 5.5 x 4.25 and will fit a A2 Envelope.
This card cost 3.50/each, and like anything hand made no two will be alike, maybe very close but can't promise.
Thanks again for stopping by!!

Hi Everyone!!!
Yep you guessed it, I had to try another one of these cute little Card Holder's/Box's... This one is a little more Girly, and I added a handle too.
The size is the same as the one I did on the 22nd so if you need info on how to make go to June 22nd.

This is the front view.....

This is the open view.......

and this is the side open view showing the dividers.....
I'm still working on how to make these work smoothly and have given a few to family and friends to try out and give me suggestions.  So if you see anything PLEASE let me know what you think.

Hope you Enjoyed!

Card Holder or Box

Hi Everyone!!
Today I did a new Card Holder or Box.  This is from the Splitcoast stamper #219 by Jane Matsumoto. Here's the link for the tutorial; http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/accordionstylecardholder/
Here are a few of the changes I made to Jane's version;

  • Mine is a little bigger to fit cards with envelops too

  • I used a decorative File Folder from Michaels rather than Pattern Paper

  • and to close it instead of a magnet which I did not have I used Velcro.
But all the rest is about the same.  I like the look, the only thing I'm not sure about is the sides seam to push out, but maybe when its full that will not happen... I'll have to see.
Here's a view of the holder front closed.

and this is the side view closed.

This is an open view showing the dividers I made with tabs.
Also you can see the Velcro tab at the top of the open flap.

And last is a view of the holder open from the side.

I really enjoyed making this it was fast and easy.
This can be using to finish off a nice gift sets.

Hope you Enjoyed!

Don's Birthday!!!

Hi Everyone!!
It's been a few weeks since I've posted, but I'm back.... This weekend was Don's BD so hens the Manly BD card....
I've been wanting to use this beautiful CTMH stamp set (Beautiful Things D1298) I got Oh.... maybe 3 months ago.  Where does the time go?
Anyway here we are, I used Bamboo ink for the tree, and Desert Sand ink for everything else, even the sponging on the edges and all. I saw this idea in a book over a year ago and been wanting to try it.  Just mating the words section and do a second mate over the whole thing and Ripping around the tree only.  It just makes the tree look rugged.  The buttons are from my flee market buys and the ribbon was tied around washcloths, I know I would find a use for it.

Here's a shot of the card and the gift tag.

Here's the inside, yes its a gift card.  I just made a slit big enough for the gift card.  The back ground is also from the same stamp set as the tree on the front.

and here's the Gift tag.
Cleo is the neighbors dog, and the gift was a Craftsmen tool called a Dog Bone wrench.
That's way I put Cleo on the tag... to cute.
Will that's it for Today!!!
I'll be selling this card for $3.00/each with matching envelope.
Hope you enjoyed.
