In yesterdays' mail I received a brown envelop...... yes brown...... I've been

 waiting to tell you that I was one of the WINNER's!!! of the blog Hop held by Crafty Secrets I was so excited!!!! could not believe I WON something..... and from such a beautiful store too....

..... Anyway, back to the brown envelop..... this is what was inside.....

 I took 2 pic of the papers they are double sided... soooo pretty!!!! and see the stamp set in the middle......?

 Here's a better shot...it's called "Bird Notes", Can't wait to open these up...! And I see it's made in the USA too... how about that??

Will I'm so glad this came in so I could share it with you all and hope some of my Good Luck rubs off on all of you!

Birthday Robin!

Will as you know on Wednesday I was having or not having any Mojo going on..... The same on Thursday, Friday, then about 11-pm on Friday night it started....... Yea!  and then today I finished this Robin Card...

Oh let me tell you it feels so good to be carding again. 

Here's my messy desk after I got done.

 I used an older SU set for the grass and the HB, and a newer SU set for the bird.  The bird I stamped twice, once on the top of the grass and once by itself that I colored and then fussy cut. Not sure if I really needed to stamp it on top of the grass, you really can't see it after I popped the colored Robin on top.  Used the Spellbinders die Labels 10, and Martha Stewart's corner punch Laurel Leaf to do the edge.

 On the inside... used the same MS punch on the inside and a scrap of the grass from the front too.

Will that's it for today.... now if I can come up with something for the Big daises from Wednesday....

I've been trying to work with a few different stamps this week. but still not sure what I want.... I keep stamping and walking away then comeing back and still nothing is coming to me....

Maybe today will be me lucky day!

Butterfly

Hi There!!
Today I finished up the butterfly card, it's almost like the birdcage I did yesterday just a little different. 

I used the Stickles again on the wings and did the inside the same as yesterdays too... Used seam binding for the bow and colored it a little with Glimmer mist and the ink pads I used.

Will that's it, I'm going to see if I can make a few more of these for my Mom to use... and a few extras too.

Bird Cage

Hi Everyone!!

Today I tried something new...  I tried doing I think it's called water color stamping.  It's when you color your stamp with ink pads and pens and then spritz the stamp with a mist of water and then stamp it on your paper.  That's how I did the leaves and flowers on this card. 

The bird cage and bee's I did the direct stamp way.  On the bee's wings I put a little Stickles Rock Candy to make them look see thru.  Wish I had some of that Flower Soft stuff for the flowers...I know I'm never satisfied.... always want something else.

I'm working on another one with a butterfly on it instead of the bird cage... not sure if that one's going to turn out or not... stay tuned!

All BLUE Birthday Card

Hi Everyone!

If you follow my blog you know I'm not big on Blue...it's not that I don't like it I just have a hard time working with it for some reason.  So I'm trying to work with blue to see if I can get over my .... what every it's called to blue.

Here's 2 of my tries, give me your honest opinion...

I know not much to snoop... but I'm finishing up some cards I've been working using a sketch on from the i(heart)2stamp site here's her link.  Once I got started I wanted to make a few extras and I'm still in the process. Been trying to use blue, it's very hard for me to find just the right combo for some reason. Blue is just a hard color for me to use.  

That's it.... on my way to do some snooping of my own..

Mom's Birthday Card

Today I finished Mom's Birthday card.... I think she's going to be 88...? I still have a few weeks to figure that out...

I've been following a new site I found and they have a once a month sketch for anyone to try.

So I decided to use the sketch from this month at  i(heart)2stamp site..check it out. Never did one of her sketches but liked this one so had to try it out.  I think it turned out pertty nice.

For the focal point I used the SU-Elizabeth stamp and did gold embossing then colored the flowers and leaves a little.

Here a close up, you can see some of the embossing and coloring too..... 

Here's the inside, I didn't do much with this, still may put a little something else in here just not sure what yet....

I know she will like this one... but then she's my Mom and she always likes everything so I don't know if she's the best person to ask... so how about you what do you think???

Embossing Folders

Hi Everyone!
Today I was working with my Embossing Folders and trying to see which one I though would look the best on my project.  So I did what I always end up doing I cut paper and try several to see which one I liked best....... Will you see where I'm going with this right???  I decided I was going to make a folder like I did for may Border and Corners so I could just pull it out and have a look.  
This is what I came up with, tell me what you think!

Here the first flap open.....

That's it...

To make a sample of each folder I just cut papers 2.5 x 3.75 and then embossed, sanded, put it in the folder and labeled it with company name, folder name, stock #.....

Late Birthday........

Hi Everyone!!

We're all guilty of sending a late card for someones birthday, I know I am..... So I finally made a card to say Sorry!!

I used the same Dragonfly stamp from the Inkadinkado set Mindscapes-99121, and cut it out and then popped the wings up a little.  For the coloring I used my CTMH pens and then added some gold around the edge and spots on the wings and body too. 

Here you can see how I popped the wings up better and the Gold too. 

and this is the inside.

Will that's it... I'm going to take it easy for the rest of the day  and maybe work on card from the sketch on Jen's site here's here link....

Deep Sympathy

Hi Everyone!!

I'm doing much better this week with my hurt shoulder, it's still not working quit right but MUCH better!!  Thanks to all you girls that sent me Get Well wishes!!

Today I'm show a Sympathy card I did to look a little shabby... Hope I didn't overdo things with it since it is a Sympathy card.  I'll let you be the judge of that?

Here's the front, I used my :Hug Snug" Seam Binding for the first time and put some Glimmer Mist-Wheatfields on it and the card too.  I always liked the seam binding all the girls used on there sites and I finally made the plung when on of the gals I follow sent me the link, Thanks Glenda!

The Dragon Fly is from the Indadinkado stamp set Mindscapes-99121, I just colored it in using my CTMH markers. The border is a Martha Stewart called Raindrop. 

Here's a close up of my bow and border.....

and here's the inside, the saying is from the CTMH set called Best Wishes (C1318), then i used the Raindrop border punch again with a little scrap paper I had left over from the front.

I forget to mention I spunged all the edges of everything with Desart Sand too.

Will that's it for this one... I'll be posting another card I'm working on using the same Dragon Fly stamp.... maybe later today.
