Birthday Candles Mom

I know this card look like I just posted this before, but had to make another one with a different person inside after.
This one is for my Mom who is turning 97 next month.... she will get a real kick out of this....

 

This card I made last was for a man and one of the gals who commented talked about using  the AI stamp with the old lady and the fire extinguisher... 

I had replied back that I had that one and thanked her for the reminder, so that's what I used today.

 

I just love the look on her face.... and the way she's standing.... it just cracks me up every time I pass this stamp when looking for something else. 

 

This card just has my MOM written all over it.......

Manly Birthday

Today I'm showing you another Manly Bd card... the hardest cards for me.  But the last few have gotten a little easier...
Here's the front closed view.  Not bad so far........

 

I just LOVE these Candles from Rubbernecker Stamps 60-020304 and I got the Die set to match... For the background I used My Favorite Things stencil Cloud Edges, and to color the candles I used my ZIG's Color brushes.

OH! and my little close pin was just used to keep the card closed so I could get a good pic.

  

Now this is the inside..... That brut of a Guy was from Art Impressions-Backyard Boss-4377.  He's really fun to use and he worked out nicely for this card I though.  You'll see what I mean on the next pic....

 

See when you open the card fully you get the whole affect.... I've been making several of the ti-fold card and like how this one worked out the best.

Belated BD

As much as I like making cards you would think I'd get them out on time..... will there seams to be something missing there.
Here's another BD card I made that I MISSED......

 

I made this card flat but if given locally I would have added foam between a few of these layers.

The stamp is by Rubbernecker and called Candle set... I have the matching die also but did not use it here.. and the words are from Taylored Expressions called Ducks in a Row.  Colored with Zigs  brushes.

 

 

Here's the inside where I used another Rubbernecker stamp called Cards on Time.

Happy Birthday Dotty.

 This is the BD card I made for my Mom to give to ME!!!
I know that sounds kind of ODD.... but that's what she wanted... so when your 90 year old Mom want's something you do it.... Right...?

This chicken house is just so cut... so I put a chicken out front ...

 and then this Poor little chick with the bug eye that wobble around....
Both of us loved it...
Mom for how cute and me for the Fun of making it...

Get Well day 3

 Here we are on day 3 for my Get well cards...and here's my card for today.

 

This old gal is really having a bad mornin'.  and I just LOVE this stamp... she is just perfect in so many ways... I added the checkered floor, but the rest is the stamp set. 

Oh I just want to laugh when I see this.... what a look.... my goodness....

Yes, today something different!!! Yea!!!
 I was also in need of some Get well cards so today I worked on this one....
Bugs, Bugs, Bugs.....yeaks......

 

I just love this little bug,,, I put him in the mason jar and added some sad colors on him......

I know I would have to smile if I received this little guy.... and that's the idea right??

Happy Belated Birthday

You know for a card maker you would think I would remember to send cards... will not true!!
Here's one I made with that though in mind;

I used one of new Clean and Simple styles I found on Yep! you guessed it; Maile Belles blog.  It's the last one in this post she did.... mine is a little different but do love this quick and easy way to make cards.  I really like the buttons but after I had them on it really made the card too thick,,,,,sooooooo,,,next time I may try putting the buttons in with the HB by CTMH... the Paisley is from another old CTMH set called You've got Flair and then I just used colored pens to color it. 

here's a side view so you can see the layers better. Not sure if you can see it but I went around the white paper with a dark gray pen just to make it stand out more... 

And the inside, love this saying by Rubbernecker called -Cards on time....... 

Then I used the other half of the gray strip from the front of the card here on the inside taped down flat.

Sick BUG.......

Will this is my last get well card for a while ...... this one is a poor little bug that looks like he/she is really under the weather.  I layered him up on a few different color card stock the popped up the top of each piece and glued the bottom flat... I got the idea from Just 4 Fun blog by Jennifer, she is a Copic queen, I'm not sure how I found her since I don't even own one Copic pen but I'm glad I have... from what I can tell she likes to use layers at odd angles... either her cards are bigger than A2 or I need to keep trying.

this view show some of the layers I talked about... can you see how the bottom of each panel is taped flat but the tops are popped up... will maybe in the next one.......

and this is the inside... I used Wink of Stella from the top left corner to the bottom right and all over the jar too.... not sure if you can see it but it's cute in person.

As Bad as I LOOK.........

Here's another Get Well card that will bring a smile to your face I hope!

I just love this stamp set... I added the floor tiles and line up the middle so it looked like a wall.  The stamp is by Rubbernecker called Edna in Moring 562-06, and the saying is call Bad as I look 563-04. Had to get them both, right???? 

this side view lets you see that I popped up the red background paper as will as the stamped image and saying. For the background paper I used something new for me to pop it up, Sticky back foam sheets there 6x9 and 2mm thick...it came in a pack of 40 sheets and multi-color pack.  Next time I go to Joann's or Hobby Lobby I'm going to see if  it comes in packs of white only... I had see a few gals using the fun foam sheets to pop up there work so I had to try it... and I must say I LOVE it.  It cuts just like paper and you can use it with your dies too. 

Here's the inside, I just used the leftover of yellow to make a border... no saying yet, I'll wait till I know who and what it's for first.

A New Prayer.

Hi All,

Today I made a card using the 4 Ladies at the beach by Ai-Art Impressions called Friends.  Here they are right after I finished coloring them.... there just on Watercolor paper here...

 

I just love each of the ladies, I'm the one in the pock-a-dot pink bathing suite... will because she has the smallest boobies..... :)

I printed the words for the front of the card on my PC  (Spell check did not find my spelling error because it was not spelled wrong..... but my hubby said it's just not used right,,,  so now it reads "Prayer" not Pray. Thanks Honny!)... to go with the inside....you'll see why.

I've had this stamp for a LONG, and just had to have it when I saw it but when I went to use it I could not think of a way to use it without hurting someones feelings....which is not what I meant to do at all since I'm always fighting the battle it just strikes me funny that's all...

I frog-got

Hi There,
The last couple of days I've been working on a few belated BD cards.... I used the same stamp, just colored them differently and used some of the same paper and some different paper for the two cards....
First here's a quick look at them both.....

 Now here's the first one I made.......is he not just sexy looking.... in is green with yellow spots and teal belly.... just love thoes eyes.....

 and this is the inside.......

Now this little cutie was just the color of a little girl frog to me....don't ask me why......So I used pinks and reds, and a bow too for a more girly look.... this pic looks a little washed out but it's really much brighter.

Two more Christmas cards....

Yes, I'm on a roll now... I've got 2 more cards I can make a bunch of...

Here's the first one.

Very simple, just a IO die of a pine branch with a bow, may use red and white twine not sure yet,  and then I stamped Noel, that's it... still need to do the inside but that will be easy I hope..

Now here's the other card.....

It's a stamp by Rubbernecker called pine block, I stamped it with two different colors of green then back it with red cardstock and popped it up before adding it to a layer of Merry Christmas paper. 

Think I'll add a red ribbon at the top and a Merry Christmas too..... but that's it.

Manly Birthday #2

Will I finished another one..... a little more to this one but still Manly...

When I stamped the boat and dock I put it toward the bottom of the paper... I wanted to try doing clouds like I've seen on so many other blogs... will I worked on several scraps and felt I had it down pretty good so I went for it on my boat piece.... Boy was I disapointed..... I sould have takin a pic of that before I put the die cut clouds over it.... YUCK.... Anyway I think I saved it.  

I diffently need to work on my clouds....

Border Cards

Back on 4-21 I posted one of these cards, the one in the center as "Black & White".  I like the border look so much I though I would try it with differnt colors and this is that I came up with.
A green and white and the yellow and brown...
All three are Birthday Cards too.

Sweet Birthday Wishes !!!!

Last night I finished up this card that our neighbor wanted for his niece, she's turning 19 I think... so hope this card hits all the right buttons. It's PINK, it's prissy, and it's spunky on the inside too!

You really cant tell but the frosting is done up with Liquid Pearls and then I sprinkled glitter on it while it was still wet.  Looks really good but cant tell from my pics. 

I even stamped a little Cupcake on the envelope too!

Does my Butt Look Big?

Yes, that is the question I asked for this weeks Color Throwdown-184???

These are just beautiful colors to work with too.....

Ok, here's the compleat question......????????

I say NO! I think it's a cute little butt!!!

Sorry my picture is a little washed out. Can't seam to get a good pic anymore...

If you look closely at the background paper you'll see it's honey cones.... just a little play with paper there...

and you know I had to fix up the inside too.....

But all in all this was a really FUN card for me....

I just love using Rubberneckers stamps, there always FUN!!!

Now that ribbon was a real fine from willlll, now that I'm thinking about it, I think it's been 3 or 4 years ago and don't think the store is open anymore.... bought it by the yard so don't have a name.. but it's just really cute!

I used GellyRoll clear star's on the wings and stinger, made it look sheer and sparkly too... but you can't see it in my dreadful pic...

and used black arond all the edges to make all the layers stand out.

Here's what I used;

• Card Size closed / 4.25 x 5.5
• Papers/ Creative Memories, SU, and DCWV- Linen Closet stack
• Inks & Pens & Coloring/ Close to my Heart- Black to sponge with, and Bamboo on the inside, Memento-Tuxedo Black for the front image to color, and SU-Watercolor Crayons for my coloring.
• Misc./ Ribbon-stash,
