Celebrate!

Hi Everyone!!!
Today I finished up a card I made and did NO stamping at all.....!
Can you believe it?  Me either...
Will I challenged myself to do two things...
  1. No stamping (very hard to do)
  2. Use Creative Memories only (almost)
and I think I succeeded...you be the judge.
I know, I know it's not my usually colors but it is really pretty in person, hope that shows thou for you to see too.
Here's the front.
I used a piece of scrap CM paper I had from the old paper series called Gazabo (2006-7 I think).  Then I used Delight Paper Ribbon at the top and bottom.  For the flower I used both the Delight Paper Flowers and a die cut flower from Fun & Fab.  All these were layered on a background of CM-Espresso brown.  The Celebrate! tag at the bottom came from the Fun & Fab die-cut set and I cut a border sticker with the word Celebrate and put that on the tag.  I did use 2 Non-CM brads on the tag too.
Both the Tag and the Flower were poped up to give it a little demition.  I also used CM-Brown Chalking ink on all the edges of everything.

Here's a close up of the front.......

and here's the inside.  I used more of the Delight Paper Ribbon down the side and 2 corners from the Fun & Fab die-cut pack.  I also used the yellow center frome the Fun & Fab set then placed a vellum quote from Expressions of Her.
Even thow this was out of my comfort zone not to do any stamping I did enjoy the chalange and happy with the results too.
What do you think, Honestly???

Hope you Enjoyed!!

Mother's Day

Hi Everyone,,,,!
Will I'm finally back to making things again... This was the first card I've made since I moved my Craft things. It felt so good to be cutting and tapping, and stamping,,,,,,,
I thought I better make Mom her Mother's day card before I run out of time... It's getting close!

This is the front....
I used 2 differnt stamp sets, the birds with the nest are from Clear art stamps it's from the set I won back at the end of March.... and the words are from and old MFT set I've had for years...
The music paper is out of an old Music Book I got from Goodwill.

Can't really see much from this shot...have no idea why I took this... but here you go!

And this is the inside... it's from the CTMH set called  Beautiful Things.
Since you cant really read it this is what it says;
"The best and most beautiful things
cannot be seen or even thouched,
they must be felt with the heart."
Helen Keller

Will that's it for today... Think I'll try another one...
Thanks for stopping by again!
Hope you Enjoyed!!

Christmas Ornament

Hi Everyone!!
Can you tell what I've been working on????????????
Yep, Christmas Cards!!
Here's a close up of my first try...

Here's a full view of the front.
I did heat embossing with Gold for the ornament (from Judi Kins) and even did the edges of the red too.  I may not do that to all of them it was kind of tricky to get that stuff on the edges.  For the ribbon I just made a hole in the loop of the ornament and pull the ribbon thru then let it hang down at the bottom... simple!

The inside looks better in person, the pic just does not make it look right.
I used a Spellbinders Label 13 and stamped a CTMH sentiment from the "Peace on Earth" (D1243).
The size of the completed card is 5.5 x 4.25 and will fit a A2 Envelope.
This card with decorated envelop cost 3.50/each, and like anything hand made no two will be alike, maybe very close but can't promise.

Thanks for stopping by again!
Hope you Enjoyed!!

With Heartfelt Sympathy

Morning!!!
Today I need a Sympathy card for a very good friend of mine.  That being said this was my creation.  It's so hard to balance the simple with the elegant.  Hope I succeeded here...
To start here is a close up of the front, I used my computer to print the sentiment, and then printed on SU-Whisper White, and use Creative Memories Black and there new designer series paper call what else Black & White for the background.  And of course Spellbinders Labels 4.

The lines and colors make this very simple I think and then with the black ribbon it gives it just enough shine to make it elegant too. The bow I use my trusty Bow Easy... love that thing!

Now the inside I keep very simple too. Again the sentiment was printed on my computer and then cut out with Spellbinders Labels 5 and then black behind it.
The size of the completed card is 5.5 x 4.25 and will fit a A2 Envelope.

This card with decorated envelope cost 3.00/each, and like anything hand made no two will be alike, maybe very close but can't promise.

Flowers

Morning Everyone!!!
Today I'm in the mood for Flowers.... it's been sooooo HOT here that I wanted to do something that would make me feel Cool.
This is a close up of the bottom part of the card.  I used Spellbinders Fancy Tags for the Happy Birthday, and the Cuttlebug folder Bird & Swirls (37-1609) on the yellow paper behind it.  And then across the bottom I used an EK-success border punch, can't remember the name of it, which they would have the name on there punches along with the pictures.....

Here is a close up of the flowers... Love all the colors..
The stamp set is from SU-Bloomin' Beautiful, it has another flower that is just beautiful too, along with a cute little bee in flight and two sayings...I colored these with SU-Watercolor Crayons and a Aqua pen....
Love the look... AND in the middle of each flower I put a drop of Liquid Pearls.

Here is the whole thing....
The Flowers are on white card stock and I used Spellbinders Labels One to cut it our, and then SU-Dimensional to pop it up.
The same border punch was used across the top too, just a different color paper.

and here's the inside....
The saying inside is from Cloud9 (Simple Thoughts-Happy Birthday, I love all of them in this set and there's 12 with other little goodies too.
This was another fun card for me.....

The size of the completed card is 5.5 x 4.25 and will fit a A2 Envelope.
This card with decorated enevelop cost 3.50/each, and like anything hand made no two will be alike, maybe very close but can't promise.

2 Ducks!!

2 Ducks....I just LOVE these little guys, they are from a CTMH stamp set called Makin' Waves (C1365).  It has 5 of these little guys playing in the water doing all kinds of cute stuff, with 2 sayings and a few other little watery things.  Just love this pack!

Today I tried something new, Dimensional Pearls by Adirondack or Ranger.  On this close up shot below you can see where I dotted the Terra Cotta color  around the edge of the papers... What do you think?
It's very easy to do, I had never seen it before till I was looking at this blog; http://sunnysankari.blogspot.com/
and she uses them on just about all her cards...
They come in a little plastic bottle (1-oz) just like the Stickles with the pointy noise for easy dabbing. She also use the Liquid Pearls by Ranger, these seam to be more pearley and are in a smaller bottle (1/2-oz) but I'm sure they will go a LONG way...

Here are the 2 Ducks side by side.... the one on the left has Green spots-dots in the corners and the top and bottom of the yellow lable.

and here's the inside of them both.

The size of the completed card is 5.5 x 4.25 and will fit a A2 Envelope.
This card with matching envelope cost 3.50/each, and like anything hand made no two will be alike, maybe very close but can't promise.
I had a ball playing with the Liquid Pearls and plan on using them often.
Thanks again for stopping by!!
Hope you enjoyed today's post!

Now you can really see the springs, tee, heeee.....!
The size of the completed card is 5.5 x 4.25 and will fit a A2 Envelope.
This card cost 3.50/each, and like anything hand made no two will be alike, maybe very close but can't promise.

Card Book for Cora

Guess What???
I've finished Cora's Card Book.... YEA!
I hope she likes it... I changed the way you close this one, I like this too because it lays out of the way when open and allows for the book to expand too, check it out.

Back Cover.

Many of the envelops are very similar to the first Card Book I did but like anything handmade there are some changes or differences... I try to make everything I do a little different for you. Like on this one I changed the way the book is closed, I used ribbon and elastic to pull over a large button on the front cover.  It's different but very cute with the ribbon over the elastic.
Book with 6-Compartments (cards not included) 20.00.
Most cards I make are 3.00 or 3.50 each depending on detail work.
Like anything hand made no two will be alike, maybe very close but can't promise.

Hope you enjoyed!
