Poke Dots Gift Set

Hi Everyone!!
I've been working on this Gift set for a friend of mine that has helped me in so many ways.  I wanted it to be FUN and uplifting, something that you grab first for each time you need to jot something down. And most of all easy to Spot........
Hope she likes it!!!
Here's a shot of the full set...
This is the outside of a half of a Jr pad....
this is the inside of the half of Jr. pad, I put a little pink flap on the cover to put coupons in maybe....?
This is the whole Jr. Pad....
I covered a 2 year calendar to match and even got the plastic cover back on.....yea!
And of course my fav the Com-book, I love these....
this is the inside of the Com-book with some Book marks I slid in the flap inside.
Don't think I'll see her for a while so I may mail it to her and give her a surprise... I know I love getting something in the mail and know she does too...

LUCKY !!? Flippin' Card

Morning Everyone!!
I tried something NEW for me today!!!  I first saw these "Flippin' Stamps" at the 2009 CHA show in Orland last year and didn't get any but was aways disappointed that I didn't.  Will a few weeks ago I found them again and boy was I excited  http://www.lapashe.com/.  Below is the card from one of the new stamps sets I ordered.
On the front I used a EK Success border punch with Red paper behind it and then I used a hole punch to punch out the red so the black would show thru.  The black ribbon is just from my stach who know where it's from. The back ground paper is from a SU set I think it's still being sold, really cute with check's, domino's, and all kinds of card shapes. Looks cute with this BINGO Winner!!

Here's a close-up of the front, you can see I used dimensionals behind just the head and arms...

And here's the inside!!!! See how when I cut her out then put her to the edge of the front so she's hanging off then you can see the Black inside of the card behind her when it's closed.
The saying is;
It's not the taking part,
It's the Winning that counts.

Again I used the same border punch and background paper too.
To write on the inside I'll use a White Gel pen.
Will that's it for today!! Tell me what you think of my Flippin' Stamp set, I'll have more from time to time.
The size of the completed card is 5.5 x 4.25 and will fit a A2 Envelope.
This card with decorated envelop cost 3.50/each, and like anything hand made no two will be alike, maybe very close but can't promise.
Thanks for stopping by again!
Hope you Enjoyed!!

Nothing Wrong with the World???

Hi Everyone...!!
I've been working on a couple of Friend's cards... There almost the same just changed up the ribbon... you'll see what I mean.
The Gal on the front is from the CTMH stamp set "Ms. Gardener" (D1344) , and the sentiment is a SU set called "Favorite Thoughts". Love both of these sets and know I'm going to use them allot.

Todays SU-sentiment is;
There is nothing wrong with the world
that a sensible woman could not settle
in an afternoon. - Jean Girandouz
Now for the card.... I did several layers of paper and used Spellbinder-Fancy Tags on the front, and I used one of Martha Stewart border punchs (don't have the name of it). The ribbon is from my stash I think I got it at Michel's a while back on sale.... it looks good both ways but I'm partial to the crumpled one on the left.
Sorry the pic looks washed out... tried it a few times, think it's my lite... (I don't have professional lights, just my overheads, maybe someday!)

here's a close up of the card with the ribbon flat with buttons... buttons from my flea-market stach.

and here's a close up of the font with the crumpled ribbon.... I like this look the best...

Here's the inside... both are the same so I just took one shot..

Will that's it for today!
The size of the completed card is 5.5 x 4.25 and will fit a A2 Envelope.

Tea Bags are like Woman???

Morning Everyone!!!
Will this morning I got up and as I looked at the cards I did yesterday I could not decide which I liked best..........What do you think??????
With or Without that is the question....?????
I really like them both but... I wanted to know what other card gals though of my new discovery of Liquid Pearls.  I've been trying it on everything and I might have gone a little WILD!!
OK here we go,
Below is my card front, the gal on the front is from Close to my Heart stamp set Ms. Gardener (D1344) Love this whole set but did not get around to using it till now.... then I didn't even use it for gardening.... Oh will back to my post.  I stamped her using StazOn ink and then colored her with SU- Watercolor Crayons and an Aqua Pen. The saying came form the Stampin' Up set Favorite Thoughts... this set came with 4 sentiments and all 4 are sassy... love them! I also used 2 Spellbinder dies, the tag was cut down form the Fancy Tags set and the yellow arch behind the tag was cut down from the Labels-13 set.  I also used the large oval punch by SU for the rust color behind the tag.
Anyway this is the card With OUT Liquid Pearls card.

This is WITH Liquid Pearls.   What do you think.
below are the close up and inside shots too.

Here's a close up of the detail work at the bottom of the front, I use two border punches by Martha Stewart.  My bow was made using the Bow-Easy.... Love that thing, the ribbons are from Michael's I think.
Close up With OUT Liquid Pearls.

WITH Liquid Pearls.

and here's the inside.  The whole saying is "A woman is like a tea bag. You never know how strong she is until she gets into hot water. by-Eleanor Roosevelt" I used the first part "A woman is like a tea bag." on the front and rest on the inside. Had to stamp it twice and cut it apart
No I didn't use any Liquid Pearls on the inside, I though it would have made it to thick looking....
Will that's it for today, Let me know which you like best, I really need a second, third, and forth opinion on this!

Stamp Swap

Today I hosted a stamping swap, never been to one before so this was really fun. Had my two stampin buds over, I learn so much from them. Dell is a SU consultant so she gets all the lates ideas. And Deb is SOOO creative, it's a great time whenever the three of us get together.

Here's Deb with me (Dotty).
And this is Dell with me taking a bit of my sandwitch!!

This is what we pigged out on. By this time we were at it for I don't know a few hours and still hadnt stamped one thing. We were to busy talking and showing each other what we've been working on.

What a fun day we had.
I remember when they left it was pouring down rain... sheets and sheets of water.
What a mess!!
But had a GREAT day!!
