Double Chrysanthemum

This is the first time I've posted since Blogger changed...I was unable to get it to work and think it is now.... we'll see....

Today's post is a Double Chrysanthemum front fold Birthday Card.

I used this for a Sympathy card about a month ago and loved it so much though I'd used the same for a BD card....See what you think!

Here's the front... I used 2 little close pins to keep it closed to get a pic...

The Happy Birthday is stamped on the inside and it shows thru to the front so I didn't have to mess up my flower.

this is the back......

one side open...

and the whole inside......a really cute sentiment too... room to write something, not much but enough....

I used the PoerPoppy stamp set- Chrysanthemum XL and matching Die....

Just LOVE the flower...put a little bling here and there on it, and even a little gold paint too...

Will what do you think????

Spring is in the Air.....

This one took me a couple of days to do.... between the painting and drying, and then that darn ribbon.  Now I remember why I kind of drifted away from using ribbon.  Not only is it lumpy in the mail but, Oh My that darn bow......
For this card I used my NEW to me stamp set from PowerPoppy- Chrysanthemum XL.... Oh I just love all the little fingers this flower has.... fronts and back and will you get it...

If you look real close on the edge of the green background paper I put some gold.  But that's about all I did since the die was so busy. The Die is another oldy called A2 Polka Dots by Spellbinders, this set had 2 frames and 2 sentiment dies.

Just another angle here.....

Back in Time

Will for me it's going back quite a few years.... I was but a child when I did this and for some reason wanted to do it again......
So,
Here we go.... I stared Embroidery again.  I had some Oold dish towels and found this Aunt Martha's hot iron transfers.... boy have these changed since I last used them... they iron on so easy now... anyway back to the subject.. the transfer I used is called Cross Stitch Dishes-3371.
And here's the first towel I did;

It's funny how Stuff comes back to you once you get started...  Can't remember the names of the stiches I used but for my first one I think it came out ok.....
I should have taken a pic of the back... so you could really grade me on my work.

That's it for today.... maybe I'll have another one in a few days.......maybe.......

Birthday Candles Mom

I know this card look like I just posted this before, but had to make another one with a different person inside after.
This one is for my Mom who is turning 97 next month.... she will get a real kick out of this....

This card I made last was for a man and one of the gals who commented talked about using  the AI stamp with the old lady and the fire extinguisher...
I had replied back that I had that one and thanked her for the reminder, so that's what I used today.
I just love the look on her face.... and the way she's standing.... it just cracks me up every time I pass this stamp when looking for something else.

This card just has my MOM written all over it.......

Ice Tea Anyone?

Today's card is from the PowerPoppy set called  "Tea in the Garden".  I'm using it for a Birthday card which is in the mail as we speak.
This time I made Ice Tea, but think I'll be making Lemon aid next time.

This blue background  paper I had picked for another card but didn't use it so while it was out I tried the frame die set by Spellbinders called Devine Eloquence.  I used the biggest die on the blue paper and then the next one down for the Ice Tea.... With the yellow it really shows it of nicely.

The inside I used the same yellow and another die from that set for the blue on the Happy Birthday strip.  Then just another little bunch of flower and it finished.
I hope my niece enjoys it.

Valentine Poppy

Here's the card I made for my Mom for Valentines Day. When I gave it to her I had forgotten to take a pic... so today when I visited, asked if I could borrow it to take a pic of and post on my blog.  She said OK,,,,, but wanted it back tomorrow..... She has several of my cards displayed around, she really does enjoy them.

I did it in the style of one of the cards that was showed on the PowerPoppy  site for this stamp set. Mine is a little different but I think it turned out nicely too.

I fussy cut it out and added a few more leaves, and just a little bling...I used a black gel pen for the center of the flower. And Zigs to do my coloring.
That's it for today....

Cake with Tea

This card is from another new stamp set for me from PowerPoppy.  They had a BIG sale a few months ago I think, that was BOGO.... I love there stamps but OH the price makes me hold back.  But when I saw this sale I did the dirty deed.  I know the stamp sets I got were not New from them but for me, OH My.... anyway here we go for today's post.

This stamp is called Tea in the Garden and pretty stamps I really love the all.... but had to use the Cake on the plate first.  Just love the whole look of this cake... something I'd like to make.

and for the inside I used the Tea cup and a few Strawberry's too.   I left it blank so I can pick what to say when I know who will be getting it...

Poppy XL on Black

Today I tried something on Black card stock.....
Not my usual thing but wanted to try it since seeing it done on several blogs.
I used the stamp by PowerPoppy called what else.... Poppy XL,  I used white embossing power and colored it with colored pencils... .. It's OK, but I just don't have something right yet... need to work on this and watch a few more videos.
Just mounted it on white card base and left it blank so I could use it for what I need.
Will that's my first real try at coloring on black card stock and using pencils too......

Manly Birthday

Today I'm showing you another Manly Bd card... the hardest cards for me.  But the last few have gotten a little easier...
Here's the front closed view.  Not bad so far........
I just LOVE these Candles from Rubbernecker Stamps 60-020304 and I got the Die set to match... For the background I used My Favorite Things stencil Cloud Edges, and to color the candles I used my ZIG's Color brushes.
OH! and my little close pin was just used to keep the card closed so I could get a good pic.

Now this is the inside..... That brut of a Guy was from Art Impressions-Backyard Boss-4377.  He's really fun to use and he worked out nicely for this card I though.  You'll see what I mean on the next pic....

See when you open the card fully you get the whole affect.... I've been making several of the ti-fold card and like how this one worked out the best.
Will what do you think?????
