BD card for Mom

I know it's been forever since I've posted... been making cards but no time to post.. so I though I better post a few I still have before sending, like the rest I've been making...

I saw this somewhere and had to try it... took a couple of tries before I liked the look so here goes.
The front's not much simple and clean.  

 

You SU gals will remember this stamp called "Upsy Daisy" it's what I call a shadow stamp, but I used color Zig to do my stamping... I like the water color look it gave the flowers too... But like I said not much going on here.

But on the inside it explodes with color and this 3D bundle of flowers.  

 

It was not easy to take pics of let me tell you... but here's a shot of the inside open with the saying and yes there's room behind the glass plate to even write nice things.... 

I know my Mom's going to LOVE this... she's going to be 96 and just Loves looking at all my creations... she is my test person with this one.... If she can make it work anyone can.

Yep! You guessed it another Art Impression stape set, this one called Fire Out..........
She will Love this because the little lady on the front I marked with my Mom's name and they are always at each other.......

BD Boy

 Today's card is a Fun one by Art Impressions stamp set called Birthday Wishes.  I like it because it can be used for young or old.....
Made this one for my hubby's Son, he's Younger than us of cours, so that makes him in-between....

 this saying came in the set and it differently fits us....

That little guy on the mushroom was part of the paper background from the front, had to use him...

Here's a card I made for my Sister-in-Law....
It's the Art Impression stamp set call what else? "29 Again" ???
Both the saying and the little old lady came together...love her look...

Here another view, maybe you can see the Glossy Accents on the balloon and her RED lips!

I used the same MFT Ballon die on the inside as I did on the out...

Happy Birthday Chicken Man.......

Hi All!!!

Will today I needed to make a BD card for one of our Son's.... He's a grown Man now but still loves getting my BD cards so I always try to make them FUN....

Here's what I did this year...

Is't he just the Cuties Chicken ever......and I think the paper kind of looks like chicken wire if you strech your amagination......

I put some of the wobble eyes on him too... too cute!!!

this is a side view....

I left the inside blank because still don't know if we'll see him on is BD or a few days after so I'll add that when I know....

My 3rd Manly Birthday Card

Morning everyone!!!

I saw this card yesterday and just had to use the idea... here's the gals site that came up with this Too Cute card.

Didn't have the same stamps as she did but I still love the look.... so simple and clean!

Here's a closer look.....

and here you can see that I popped everything up off the card.

and the inside... I used an old CM punch for the border at the bottom but looks more like swiss cheese that bubbles to me...

So now that's 3 manly cards, yes I'm going to count this as manly for the Young at Heart!!!

Catch of the Day

Morning!!

Today I made our oldest sons Birthday card.  It's not for a week but had to get it done before other things got going...

He love to fish so this was perfect I though.  This cute little bear out fishing and then the Old Men Rule back ground paper for fishing was just perfect.  The little bear is from the CTMH set Beary Best (C1363), and the Catch of the Day is from what else but Catch of the Day set (C1277).

 Yep, it's an easel card... to cute!!!

Hope he likes it, bet he will with the gift card inside...we could put it in a folded piece of news paper.   That's an idea... maybe I'll try something later with news paper.

2 Ducks!!

2 Ducks....I just LOVE these little guys, they are from a CTMH stamp set called Makin' Waves (C1365).  It has 5 of these little guys playing in the water doing all kinds of cute stuff, with 2 sayings and a few other little watery things.  Just love this pack!

Today I tried something new, Dimensional Pearls by Adirondack or Ranger.  On this close up shot below you can see where I dotted the Terra Cotta color  around the edge of the papers... What do you think? 

It's very easy to do, I had never seen it before till I was looking at this blog; http://sunnysankari.blogspot.com/

and she uses them on just about all her cards...

They come in a little plastic bottle (1-oz) just like the Stickles with the pointy noise for easy dabbing. She also use the Liquid Pearls by Ranger, these seam to be more pearley and are in a smaller bottle (1/2-oz) but I'm sure they will go a LONG way...

Here are the 2 Ducks side by side.... the one on the left has Green spots-dots in the corners and the top and bottom of the yellow lable.

and here's the inside of them both.

The size of the completed card is 5.5 x 4.25 and will fit a A2 Envelope.

This card with matching envelope cost 3.50/each, and like anything hand made no two will be alike, maybe very close but can't promise.

 I had a ball playing with the Liquid Pearls and plan on using them often.

Splish, Splash...A Citrus Bath

Morning Everyone!!
I've been working on these little guys taking a Citrus Bath for a few days now.... Dont' thing you can see it good but I used Crystal Effects on the liquid in the glass. In person it looks wet and you have to touch it, very slick looking. This card with the saying inside "You only live onec Make it count." is for any occasoion, birthdays, Celebrations and Having a good time.
