I don't know about you but Sympathy cards are the hardest for me....
It's for such a sad occasion and yet you want to bring them a smile too... it's just so hard to balance.
Last week a dear friend of mine lost someone very special to there family, they had to fly out of town and would be back later this week. So I wanted to have something waiting for them when they got home.
Here's what I did.....
This is the front... I popped up just the wing tips on the butterfly, and did the water color technique on the flowers.... you know when you color your stamp with pens and then spray mist on it and stamp a few times to get that look....I sprayed then crumpled my seam binding with some Glimmer Mist and let it dry to get that crumbled look.
here's a close up......
and here's the inside....
I hope she smiles when she read it and remembers a happy time.
Here's what I used;
- Papers/ Creative Memories and SU
- Inks & Pens/ Close to my Heart- Desert Sand words and sponging, Vineyard Berry and Garden Green flowers
- Stamps/ SU-Nature Walk, My Favorite Things-Essential Sentiments, and Clearly Sentimental about Sympathy
- Punches/ MS-Woodland Branch
- Misc./ Glimmer Mist-Gold, Seam Binding by Hug Snug-Eggshell
Thanks for stopping by again!
Hope you Enjoyed!!
