Ice Tea Anyone?

Today's card is from the PowerPoppy set called  "Tea in the Garden".  I'm using it for a Birthday card which is in the mail as we speak.
This time I made Ice Tea, but think I'll be making Lemon aid next time.

This blue background  paper I had picked for another card but didn't use it so while it was out I tried the frame die set by Spellbinders called Devine Eloquence.  I used the biggest die on the blue paper and then the next one down for the Ice Tea.... With the yellow it really shows it of nicely.

The inside I used the same yellow and another die from that set for the blue on the Happy Birthday strip.  Then just another little bunch of flower and it finished.
I hope my niece enjoys it.

Deep Sympathy

We just talked with a family friend last night and found out someone very close to her pass on.....So this morning I looked in my stash of cards and found my Sympathy section very LOW and decided to create this.   I've been working with this flower several different ways and always like how it turned out but decided to try something different...
Here we go....

The Stamp set is from Technique Tuesday called Today Flower.....and the words came from MFT stamp set called Essential Sentiments.  I white heat embossed the flowers and used Bundled Sage Distress ink all over the background and flowers... then I colored over that with my Zig'.  For the curved edge I used a Spellbinders Curved Borders Two / S5-201.

On the inside I left if very simple and used the words from another MFT set called Clearly Sentimental about Sympathy.  I've used this set often and like all the Sentiments on it.

Will that's it for today, See Ya!

Have a Wonderful Day

Today's card is just  a burst of color.  I've used this stamp many times and love how it turns out every time.  The stamp is from Northwoods Rubber Stamps, called "Blackeyed Susan & Butterflies".  I just looked them up and there still around and have bunches of beautiful flower stamps.  Here's the link for  Northwoods Rubber Stamps.
I told you it was full of color..... For the background I couldn't make up my mind if I wanted lite blue or violet... so I split the difference and used both... I like the way it shows thru the Spellbinders Card Creator  called "Devine Eloquence"  I colored with my Zigs again, love them. The saying at the bottom is from the same CTMH set I used yesterday called "Birthday Script".

Haven't decided what to put on the inside yet, but it's beautiful I think........I can turn this card into a Bd, Get Well or just about anything like this....

Flippin Diet Lady's Birthday

Here's a card I really enjoyed making..... Had these Ladies Flippin stamps for a few years now but only used a few... this is my first try with this one....
See what you think.
I made this for my Daughter-in-law and like all of us she is always battling with her weight.  Sooo when I was thinking of her card I came across this one and had to give it a try....

Some people can take this kind of card and enjoy the fun it is intended.... I know she will love it and look forward to her reaction....

Sympathy day 4

This will be the last one for awhile I think.....
I went with something a little different here.... Had made some like this last year and liked them so well I made a few more... these can be made into BD or other cards too very easily...
Here you can see I did some layering and even used some ribbon, a few sequins too. Boy I really went all out here.... just kidding, but for me to use ribbon and sequins is a big deal.

And here the inside with my saying again.....

Sympathy

These are the hardest cards to make........
Today I made a few on the style of : "That's MISTER Cardmaker"
card here..... check his out and see what you think.
Here's my version;
I used these Peacock Feathers because I didn't have any nice flower dies.... but like this look too....
I painted them with Twinkling H2o's that I had, but never think to use...

This is a little closer shot but you really cant see all the twinkling like I do in person.  sorry...
Just another reason Sympathy cards are so hard to make.  You don't want them to showy but then not to plane either....
What do you think?

Great Things!!!!

Here's something a little different today.....
This is from a Flourishes stamp set called Fuchsias in Bloom (SS126),,, sadly Flourishes is no longer being made, so glad I have this one in my collection.
Here's the front.... I colored it with my Zig's brush pens, and used the Spellbinders die set called Resplendent Rectangles (S5-147)...

Now the butterflys I just cut out of some scrap papers I was using... they are so pretty all sparkly already so just had to do some fussy cutting......The top one I curved the wings a little and put some foam tape under the wings the other one I just left flat and attached it with foam tape too...

Here's the inside.....

this saying came with this stamp set along with the border stamp I used across the top....
Will that's it for today!!!

Something a little different.

Hi Ladies...
Today I'm posting my first large card, it's a 5x7 size.  It take some getting use to all this extra space, but I think before I decide I'll have to make several more....
Here we go,
I can't take credit for this style or idea it was on  this post by Amazing Paper Grace back on July 14, 2015... I don't have access to ALL the BEAUTIFUL dies Becca dose so I did the best I could with the dies I had.  In her post she shows how to make the top hing out of the corner dies, so if you need that please take a look at Becca's post

For my card I used the corner die by Cherry Lynn Designs called Lace Corner B174.
The Beautiful flower stamp is a Flourishes called Wild Roses SS266, then I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 14 the largest one. and backed it with another Spellbinders Pendants Lattice S4-210.
The white bow is Hug Snug tape.
The base of the card is from K&Company pack called Life's Journey.  It's two sided so I just used a single sheet.
The inside is the other side of the K&Company paper and the sentiment is Fiskars from "Make a Wish Quotes Birthday".  Used the same Labels 14 die along with Labels 10 too.
And that's it...
If you have any questions, let me know.

Chrysanthemum

Today I'm showing a card I made last week but did not have time to post....
I just love these flowers and have made this card a few times in different colors... it looks good no matter what I seam to do with it...... This stamp is from a stamp company that went out of business that I miss so much... Flourishes and this stamp set is call what else.... Chrysanthemum SS247.  The card base I embossed with a folder called Loving Thoughts-657667, and the die is by Spellbinders called Lattice-S4-210.

I stamped it twice on Watercolor paper and cut some of the flower out on one.... then popped them up over the first stamping and placed one at the top of the card. A little sponging here and there to bring out the embossing a little more.

the inside I used one of the flowers from that set at different angles here, and the bottom I used the border die from the Lattice set, and sponged that too.
I didn't put a saying on the inside yet, but this could be used for most any occasion.

Ruff Time

I'm really on a roll for these Get Well cards.... I never seam to have one when I need it....
Today's is a Double;
First I made the purple card and just did not like it... to much going on for me..... so I went in the other direction all white for the second card and I like that much better. But I'm going to keep them both I know there both be cute for someone.

The little pooch is from a SU-Wellness Wishes/115356 and the saying is by MFT-Puppy Girl.
I used the Fun Foam on the back to pop up the layers and tie some baker twin around with a bow.

I think you can see the layers better in this pic.  Yes he's kind of plan but I like him....

and here's my purple pooch... same stamp set and the saying came with it.

here you can see how I have the pooch and the saying popped up and a peek of the inside too....

the inside I left blank again... used the die cuts leftover from the front for the inside.

Poppies....

I should have posed this around Valentines but some how it slipped by.... I had the pic ready to post even thow I already gave the card to my Mom...
Here we go;
Mom LOVE's Poppies and needless to say she really Loved her card........
I did not have a TRUE red... now how could that be you ask....will I though it was RED but when I started coloring it just looked pinkie to me but I kept adding and this was as red as I could make them.
I stamped & colored them twice because I wanted to pop some of them up after fuss cutting them.
The stamp is by Inkadinkado called "Poppies" H97896, the embossing folder is Sizzix-Loving Thoughts-657667, and the die is Spellbinders Lattice S4-210.

here you can see the poppies popped up a little, as will as the Lattice die.

the inside I stamped the a bamboo color and cut the border using Lattice S4-218. and stamped a short verse about Money and Chocolate.... two of Mom's favorites topics.
She had a good laugh at the verse and loved the card too... she still has it sitting out in fact.

A Perfect Day

A few days ago (Feb. 1) I saw a card by one of my Favorite card Gals, Leslie Miller's.  Her way of using that stamp set just made me want to try it with something I already had. Even thow I'm in NO WAY the color-er she is I made my best effort.
You really can't tell from this pic how I used the green around the flowers, but in person it dose show up.
After coloring these flowers and then deciding to use the oval die, I which I had used a round die so I would have more room for the words, but I made it work.

Like with her flowers the ones I cut out I either popped them up or glued them flat. I used an OLD Spellbinders called Doodle Parts S4-121 for the stems under the flowers. Oh and the stamp set is from Flourishes called Happy Thoughts SS257, I so miss Flourishes stamps.....

And the inside, here I used a stamp from Serendipity Stamps, sorry I don't have the name or number.
I plan on trying another one like this, I've learned a few thing with this one I want to try.

Happy Anniversary / Hapy Valentines Day

Hi Everyone!!!
YEA!!!! Got my PC fixed.....
I needed to update my browser to Google Chrome and had some other things tidied up too... I have the BEST PC guy.   VERY TRUST worthy....
So this is the post I've been wanting to do:

It's been WAY to long since I've posed anything... so today I though I better get back on the stick.
I saw a really cute Valentines Day card for a man a few days ago (now weeks) and wanted to try one with the things I already had.  Here's the card I saw...... isn't it just too cute??
Since I haven't made many shaker cards this was even more FUN to try....
Here we go.......

This is the front view of my try at of Amy Sheffer card.... This is my first shaker card in ages and rather pleased with it's out come.

Here's a close up of the pole and line I used. The pole was longer so I just cut one section off and added the line and the little fishy too... it has some bling on it but you really can't see it too good.

This is the inside, I cut another heart and added my saying which I love.... Can't see it very will here so this is what it says;
It is the things in common that make relationships enjoyable, but  it's the little differences that make them interesting.

Will what do you think?????
This is going to be my Anniversary card for my honey, we got married on a FRIDAY, Feb. 13. So we've always celebrated Valentines Day on the 13th a day early.....

Ho Ho Ho !!!!

This week I've been working on some Ho Ho Ho cards... made 12 all together, 4 from each sheet of pattern paper.  All the same layout but look but each has it's own look I think. So here we go.
This first pic is a close up so you can see how there made.

This is the inside, I used half of the die cut from the front for the border on the inside.

this is the second one......

and here's the last one.....

Even tho all are the same layout, I think they look different... Only used 2 stamps, the Ho Ho Ho is a CTMH called Santa's Greeting Holiday- M1028, and the inside is another CTMH set called Peace on Earth- D1243 an oldy but a goodie...
Let me know what you think I'd like to know!

1st Christmas Balls card

Will here's my first card using the Christmas balls I posted on Wednesday.
I really like how it turned out, but I must say it took me about an hour to get the idea moving in my head.
Here a close up.... it show all the different things I used.  The main Christmas ball was stamped with Versa and then embosed with Stardust Transparent, the sparkle shows up nicely here, then I placed it into the Grace's Frame embossing folder, then I cut that out close the the frame and rounded the corners.  The next layer was made with Gold poster board I got at Hobby Lobby and cut it down into usuable pices, here I used Spellbinder die called A2 Polka Dots/S5-133. The ribbon and bow were just some I had already.

Here's the whole front....... it's quit pretty in person, I don't think it shows thru here.

On the inside I used the left over pice of gold from the front and then used Grace's Frame again,  I tryed to edge it with gold but it did not look right so I put some black over it and will that's with I got, think I'll leve it alone next time. The verse is from a Flourishes set called Winter Berries/SS255, and No your not seeing doubble, I stamped it twice. Dont think I'll do that again either.....the first time I used Encore metallic silver and did't show I went over it with Grey Flannel.

So what do you think?
