Dell's Retirement Gift Set from Dec. 22, 2009

I'M BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know it's been forever....

But I'm back now and hope you keep watching every day to what I've been doing here at Dotty A Cards & Things.

This is a gift I made from my friend Dell for here retirement back in December.
This first pic is of the whold set. A box of 4 cards with a nice big "D" by CTMH, I made the box there in too..... Then to the left is a 2 year calender/planner that I recovered and add the bid "D" again. To the right is a cute, cute pen I found that matches perfect and just added a matching belly band & bow around the box. Right below is a 2 box set of magnets that I added the big "D" and bow to tie it all together..... And then at the bottem is the big "D" card out of the box.


This is the card by it self, you can see the beautiful detail on that Big "D" from the CTMH colection called Baroque Alphabet.... I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this alphabet set. The lace on the inside that you can see when the card is closed on the right is a Martha Stewart border punch.


Here a close up of the Magnet set. I just left them in the box they came in but added the Big "D" and the matching ribbin...


Will hope you enjoyed my first post in a long time I'll be added things all day and trying to get them in date order... hope it works...

Amanda's Gift Set

This is the last one for a while....
This is a Girly Girl thing that I usually don't do but it was fun. The things you see are a altered Composition book and 2 year calnder, and box of 5 cards I made.

This was a 4-card set in a celo bag, a 2-year Date Book, and a matching Compasition Book for $20.00.

Bobbie's Gift set

Today I made Bobbie's Gift set, It's the same as GG's but a different color. I made both girls the same thing because Mom is giving both girls Julia's Cook Book and though the recipe box and note pads would make a good match.

Yes I need to put ribbon on the spiral pad yet too!!




Again here is inside of the recipe box with the matching index cards and the inside of the coupon holder.

GG's Gift Set

Morning!!!!!!!!!

Today I completed GG's Gift set. It has a 2 year calender, a spiral note pad, coupon holder and recipe box. I found these thing at different times and altered them to have them look like a set. Think I'll put some ribbon on the spiral pad yet....




Here's the inside of the recipe box I made the tabs different colors to match the index cards I found with the same colors.... cute. and a shot of the inside of the coupon holder too.

L's Gift Set

Hi Everyone!!
Here's a gift set I made this past month, but just getting around to posting it.
It has a box of cards, 2 year calnder, and cute pen.

Mom's Christmas Money Cards 2009

Hi Everyone!!
It's been a while since I've posted anything, but I've really been working on Christmas things and other STUFF too.
Below is a shot of the 12 money holders I made for Mom this year.


These 4 have a belly band that when removed you have a slot to put a gift card or $$$.


On these 4 the top oppens up and you pull out a card that holds the $$.



And last are these 4 that have the double fold slots on the inside. I made book marks for the one slont and the $$ goes in the other.

My Orchards

Hi Everyone!!
A little something different today!

Took some pics this morning of two of my Orchards in bloom.
Carried them over to my Moms so she could enjoy them for a few weeks.

this is a close up of the tall deep purple one......



this shot is of the short speckled one, really pirty too....


Have another one ready to bloom, maybe in a few weeks it will start I hope.

Thank You - spinning

Hi Everyone!!
I made this Thank You for a friend of mine that offered to do me a very personal favor. It was so meaningful to me I made this card and sent it that Wed. morning. Will she received it today and said it was the most beautiful Thank You card she had ever received. I was so glad she like it and wanted to share it with you, but forgot to take pics of it....so today I made another one and here it is.....

Morning!!!
Worked on this group of 8 Thank You cards for a customer this week. She needed Thank You's suitable for men, I hope I hit the mark with these. Not to frilly I hope.....

Just Because

Hi Everyone!!!
Playing with my JustRite stamp set Harmony Classics. It's a 3 1/4" round, very nice and big, I used my nesties to cut 4 different layers, and used the Boweasy for the bow. The card base and the White is SU and the remainder papers were Creative Memories.



Here's a close up of how I used the Nesties and layered them with the SU dimensionals.

Lawn Man Cards first batch

I've been working on a batch of cards for my Mom to use to pay her new Lawn Man with. She is just so taken with his work and wanted to let him know in her own way. Here's the first card she will use.

Glades, Just beautiful

Hi Everyone!!
Just got back from shopping were I found these beautiful Glades.... So inexpensive but beautiful!! I just could not pass them up.
arent they special!!!!!!!!!!

What a nice end to my shopping day... it made putting all the grocerys away less of a chore.

A Job Well Done

Hi Everyone!
Today I made this cute card for my Mom's new Yard Man... He did such a Great Job cleaning everything up I though Mom would like sending him his pay in a nice card....
Hope she like's it and her Yard Man too!!

A closer look at the madalion.

I used my JustRite stamp set for the Job Well Done and puched the center out with my 1 1/4" Creative Memories punch, and then the SU Scalloped punch for the outer punch. I used black ink for the words and Olive ink for the out circle and shading.
