Mindscapes......

Will now this is a bit different for me.... I've had these little creatures made since April of 2012.. as you can see below.....Now you might ask, why did I never finish the project... I started to several times but never liked the look that I was creating... so there they sat in a bag....

Yep, you guessed it I just happened on them this week and though I really need to do something with these little guys... so here we go.
The stamp set is by Inkadinkado called Mindscapes-99121, and used it several times with great success. Here's my try for today;
If you visit often you will notice I changed my background and foreground.... not sure if I like that or not...
but here are all the little creatures all colored up bright with markers and ready to be seen. With all of them I went with a clean look all white background with just a strip of colored paper to add interest.  Then just added the words to each one.

The white paper is pop up with fun foam, and used dimensionals under the wings and places that need lift.
Sorry for the washout coloring on all these... I think it's the white background setup that I changed.....
and here can you see the birds in the wings and body of the dragonfly???

Can you see the butterfly wings on this humming bird and even a little butterfly in the tail???

on the butterfly it's got fairy's in the wings and body.......

and this little Ladybug has a little dragonfly near the head of the body....
These are so much fun to look and play with I know I'll be using them again.

Chrysanthemum

Today I'm showing a card I made last week but did not have time to post....
I just love these flowers and have made this card a few times in different colors... it looks good no matter what I seam to do with it...... This stamp is from a stamp company that went out of business that I miss so much... Flourishes and this stamp set is call what else.... Chrysanthemum SS247.  The card base I embossed with a folder called Loving Thoughts-657667, and the die is by Spellbinders called Lattice-S4-210.

I stamped it twice on Watercolor paper and cut some of the flower out on one.... then popped them up over the first stamping and placed one at the top of the card. A little sponging here and there to bring out the embossing a little more.

the inside I used one of the flowers from that set at different angles here, and the bottom I used the border die from the Lattice set, and sponged that too.
I didn't put a saying on the inside yet, but this could be used for most any occasion.

Happy Belated Birthday

You know for a card maker you would think I would remember to send cards... will not true!!
Here's one I made with that though in mind;
I used one of new Clean and Simple styles I found on Yep! you guessed it; Maile Belles blog.  It's the last one in this post she did.... mine is a little different but do love this quick and easy way to make cards.  I really like the buttons but after I had them on it really made the card too thick,,,,,sooooooo,,,next time I may try putting the buttons in with the HB by CTMH... the Paisley is from another old CTMH set called You've got Flair and then I just used colored pens to color it.

here's a side view so you can see the layers better. Not sure if you can see it but I went around the white paper with a dark gray pen just to make it stand out more...

And the inside, love this saying by Rubbernecker called -Cards on time.......
Then I used the other half of the gray strip from the front of the card here on the inside taped down flat.

Two Sympathy Cards

I've been trying to make some cards ahead and never have Sympathy cards when I need them so here's two I have now, which I hope not to use any time soon.
The one on the left is very simple, card base is Desert by Neenah that I embossed with wood grain, added a piece of leafy print paper, then just the tag with a few words.
The card on the right I used the same Desert by Neenah for the card base then layered brown and white that I stamped with Cornish Heritage Farms stamp called Trees Backgrounder, added a strip of washie tape and glued string on each side of it, added the tag.
the inside I matched with the same papers and stamps I used on the fronts. And stamped the sayings by MFT.

Puppy Sympathy Card

Today I had to send a sympathy card to our neighbor who's dog passed on.... I just hate that.... Us Dog parents know the hole we have in our hearts when we lose our best friend.... So here's the card I made for them.
For the outside I used some doggie paper I had and stamped the saying on the flag. I know it's busy for a sympathy card but I wanted them to be able to smile when they see it.

and on the inside I added a strip of the same doggie papers I had and printed the saying on my PC..
That's it.
Hope it warms there harts some.

i'm thinking of you

Today I tried something new for me, it's a very clean and simple design that I've been seeing on Maile Belles blog.  Take a look at this beautiful card Maile did it's the 4th on down, and then see how I tried it.
I tried to get the same colors going and do like this combo.  the stamps are an OLD SU set called True Friend. and the paper is also Old SU called Fall Flowers, the button is just an old button I had in a jar.
When I cut the striped paper I secured that flat on the card base, but the white piece I popped up using a sheet of Sticky Back Foam sheets, boy is stuff works great!!!!
Here you can see the saying I created on my PC and then cut using MFT die and then sliced it long ways and popped both pieces up. It's funny how it's white on white but with it being popped up it really shows up.

and here's the inside where I used another MFT flag die and sliced it too.  I had to make it match right??
Will let me know what you think and be sure to visit Maile's blog! She does Beautiful work.  I know I'll be tyring more of her style!
