Desk Mess....

I took a break from trying to Organize my craft STUFF and decided to have some fun and  do some coloring...

Had most of these already stamped or printed, they just need some color so I did my best but it had been a while... It's Oh so true about "If you don't use it, you lose it". 

Anyway now there ready for the next step, using them on cards...

Happy Anniversary!

Yep it's me again... I'm late posted the Aanniversary card I gave my hubby.  Our Anniversary is just 2 weeks after my Birthday and 1 day before Valentines day... so we kind of put it all together.

I used a few new things and a few old things for my card this year....

The new was Cornish Heritage Farms background stamp called "Trees Backgrounder" I stamped it onto the Aqua paper with Coco ink, love the look.  Then I used an old Cuttlebug frame called Grace's Frame I love this frame and have used it several times now.  Another new thing I used was a Memory Box die called Serafina Heart... then put some sparkle on it here and there... added a bow an that's it...

this side view let's you see the inside a little I just stamped the trees about one inch down the side then added my words and things...

I have never heard or used the Cornish Heritage Farms stamps before but love the quality.  This one I got from a fellow blogger that was doing Spring Cleaning and was selling bunches of her things and I just got Lucky and was able to get this one and a few others... Thanks Barbara!!

Organizating Again!

Yes it's a never ending process for me.....

A friend of my Hubby's was closing his TV repair shop in a small town in Ga.  (Cuthbert, Ga) and had been selling all his STUFF.. Well we were home when this started so when we got back to Ga we had to take a look at what was left... and here are a few things I got for nothing or practically nothing.....

These are 4 sets of plastic 8.5 x 11 paper files, there in groups of 3 and stack up... I think I may just push them back under the shelf there and put the top stack of 3 on the shelf.  But I'll take more pics when I decide what and where.....!

Now this is all apart but it's a metal file box.  On the left is the draw and it has 3 dividers leaning against it.  The long thing is a divider which I'll keep and just lay flat in the bottom of the draw.  The box on the right is what the draw slides into...

It held diodes by a company called Centralab the red sticker on the draw....not fond of the blue but think I'll keep it as is for now.

He only charged me $3 of it... I could not let that go by..

So with a little cleaning up to knock the dust and stuff off I have 2 really nice pieces to help me get organized... I wonder if it will help :(

Hi All!!!!!!!!!!

I know its been a loooong time since I've posted, but I needed some time to get things done durning the Holidays and then after the holidays and then some small and large problems happen...

Anyway I'm going to try and start posting again so hope you will start to visit me again!

One of the things that happened I have to tell you about;

We let Belle's Rabies shot run out by a few weeks and she got ahold of a coon in the back yard so we called Animal Control, will that turned into a BIG deal...... They had to send the Coon off to be tested for Rabies and if it came back positive or unknown then we had 3 choices of what to do with Belle....

1. put her to sleep and they would send her head off to be tested.
2. they would take her and put her into a cage for 6-months with NO human contact at all.
3. we could build a cage and keep her in it for 6-months ......

But if the coon test came back negative then she was off house arrest and could go about her life..... This of course is what we were praying for.

While we waited for the test she was under house arrest with no other contact but the three of us. Will it took 7 days from the time it started till we got the call saying the test was negative.... YEA!!!!!!!!!
I can honestly say this has been the LONGEST and most heart wrenching week I've had in quit some time..... Just the thought of them taking my baby Belle and putting her in a cage for 6-months with no human contact was just unbelievable...... Or worse, putting her to sleep.

So check you pets tags right now and make an appointment if needed...

I am SOOOOOoooooooo Glad this is over.... !!!!!

And yes Belle has an appointment Tuesday with her Vet to get her yearly shots and STUFF...!

The worse part of this is I am one of those people who NEVER lets anything like this get out dated....

So never say NEVER!

Christmas cards.....

Hi All...

Will I'm posting the rest of my Christmas cards at once today..

Time is running out!!

Yeaks!!

This first one was the one I really made a lot of... easy to mail and easy to make too...

All stamps and dies were from MFT...

#2 was fun to make used Memory Box die for the Colette Ornament and MFT stamps for the inside and envelope....

#3 I used another Memory Box die called Frostyville Border Oh so pretty but lots of time to add the sparkle and glue it down... the deer stamps and dies are from Papertray Ink..

#4 Now this one I'm still coloring... but posted anyway..... I've tryed using this Christmas Wreath b Flourishes every year, but I'm never please with how I've colored it...... this one is the best I've done yet, not to bad.....

I never have posted anything like this before but it just upset me so I had to cut and past it.

When my family and I started our company 40 years ago, we were working out of a garage on a $600 bank loan, assembling miniature picture frames. Our first retail store wasn't much bigger than most people's living rooms, but we had faith that we would succeed if we lived and worked according to God's word. From there, Hobby Lobby has become one of the nation's largest arts and crafts retailers, with more than 500 locations in 41 states. Our children grew up into fine business leaders, and today we run Hobby Lobby together, as a family.
We're Christians, and we run our business on Christian principles. I've always said that the first two goals of our business are (1) to run our business in harmony with God's laws, and (2) to focus on people more than money. And that's what we've tried to do. We close early so our employees can see their families at night. We keep our stores closed on Sundays, one of the week's biggest shopping days, so that our workers and their families can enjoy a day of rest. We believe that it is by God's grace that Hobby Lobby has endured, and he has blessed us and our employees. We've not only added jobs in a weak economy, we've raised wages for the past four years in a row. Our full-time employees start at 80% above minimum wage.
But now, our government threatens to change all of that. A new government health care mandate says that our family business MUST provide what I believe are abortion-causing drugs as part of our health insurance. Being Christians, we don't pay for drugs that might cause abortions, which means that we don't cover emergency contraception, the morning-after pill or the week-after pill. We believe doing so might end a life after the moment of conception, something that is contrary to our most important beliefs. It goes against the Biblical principles on which we have run this company since day one. If we refuse to comply, we could face $1.3 million PER DAY in government fines.
Our government threatens to fine job creators in a bad economy. Our government threatens to fine a company that's raised wages four years running. Our government threatens to fine a family for running it’s business according to it’s beliefs. It's not right. I know people will say we ought to follow the rules; that it's the same for everybody. But that's not true. The government has exempted thousands of companies from this mandate, for reasons of convenience or cost. But it won't exempt them for reasons of religious belief.
So, Hobby Lobby and my family are forced to make a choice. With great reluctance, we filed a lawsuit today, represented by the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, asking a federal court to stop this mandate before it hurts our business. We don't like to go running into court, but we no longer have a choice. We believe people are more important than the bottom line and that honoring God is more important than turning a profit.
My family has lived the American dream. We want to continue growing our company and providing great jobs for thousands of employees, but the government is going to make that much more difficult. The government is forcing us to choose between following our faith and following the law. I say that's a choice no American and no American business should have to make.

The government cannot force you to follow laws that go against your fundamental religious belief. They have exempted thousands of companies but will not except Christian organizations including the Catholic church.
