Deep Sympathy

Hi Everyone!!
I'm doing much better this week with my hurt shoulder, it's still not working quit right but MUCH better!!  Thanks to all you girls that sent me Get Well wishes!!
Today I'm show a Sympathy card I did to look a little shabby... Hope I didn't overdo things with it since it is a Sympathy card.  I'll let you be the judge of that?
Here's the front, I used my :Hug Snug" Seam Binding for the first time and put some Glimmer Mist-Wheatfields on it and the card too.  I always liked the seam binding all the girls used on there sites and I finally made the plung when on of the gals I follow sent me the link, Thanks Glenda!
The Dragon Fly is from the Indadinkado stamp set Mindscapes-99121, I just colored it in using my CTMH markers. The border is a Martha Stewart called Raindrop.
Here's a close up of my bow and border.....

and here's the inside, the saying is from the CTMH set called Best Wishes (C1318), then i used the Raindrop border punch again with a little scrap paper I had left over from the front.
I forget to mention I spunged all the edges of everything with Desart Sand too.
Will that's it for this one... I'll be posting another card I'm working on using the same Dragon Fly stamp.... maybe later today.
Thanks for stopping by again!
Hope you Enjoyed!!

WOYWW-91 / Borders & Corners

Hi Everyone!
Will I'm still nursing my shoulder but though I would share with you something I did a few months ago and have been wanting to put up on my blog so this is the perfect time.
Here's the link  to WOYWW to see all the others that are showing off there work areas!

The reason I did this was because on my way home from Georgia one week I made my regular stop at all the craft stores in Albany, they have a Hobby Lobby and Michaels and many times have GREAT sales, better than at the stores at home (I wonder why?). Will like I said I stopped and back in the CLEARANCE bins I think it was HL they had piles of Martha Stewart borders and corner punches..... I had a few but there were several there for like 5 buck, I went WILD... there are a few I still wanted corner punches for so when I got home I decided to make up a card thing I could tuck into my purse and have but have since found I love it to decide what kind of border or corner I want to use on a card too.

Here goes it.....this is the front of my little folder thingie.  It's the size of a A2 card when closed 4.25 x 5.5.
this is the first open view...I know not much but just wait...
Here it is with both sides open, both sides fold into the middle that's why it looked like it did in the pic above.  I used three A2 cards and just taped fronts to backs untill I got the size I wanted.
anyway back to the borders.... this is a shot of the frist flap, I did ever other one in off white so it would show up good and then wrote on each one the maker and name of the border punch if I still had that.
this is flap two, and the start of my Martha Stewart punches I again put the names of each punch if I had it and wrote border and or Corner if I had both.  So now I know what I have or still need...
 Here's flap 3
and flap 4
I know this was a long post but was not sure how to show it so it got the idea across and not look like a mess.  It was really easy once I got started and I have room to grow too.... yea!
If you have a way to keep track of your punches please let me know I need all the help I can get!
Thanks for stopping by again!
Hope you Enjoyed!!

WOYWW 90!!

Happy WOYWW 90!
Will here I am again... Yea...! Here's the  WOYWW  link to see how to join AND at all the brave crafters showing there works in progress.
This is my second post on WOYWW and I was looking forward to showing you something new but alass I'm still working on my Strawberry cards that I posted a few days ago, SO... that's what you get.
Here's my work area.......

It really looks bad from this angel... I guess I better start getting rid of some of this STUFF pilled up in the background... I though the binds were a good idea, but it just gives me a place to stick stuff and never look at it again.  I really don't need a bigger work area, I just need to de-stuff it.

Thanks for stopping by again!
Hope you Enjoyed!!

Strawberries

Hi Everyone!
While I was cleaning up my work area I came across this set of note cards that I found in the dolor bin at Michaels.
Will I didn't want to use them as is so I reworked them a few different way.
This first pic is of the card as it was out of the package.

Now the below is my first try at reworking one.  I cut some of the gray border away and made a slit in the card at the middle of the bowl and behind the Just Because to run the Green ribbon through. Then added the Just Because from Just Rite.

This is a close up of the little strawberry I cut from the back of the original card and popped it up at the bottom.

Here's my second try.  I cut the card in half and backed it with red and did the same with the saying I used from Just Rite and backed it with red too.  I added a pice of white with red print paper in the back and then added the green ribbon with a bow.

Here's a close up.

And here's the inside

And this is the 3rd one I did.  This bowl of strawberries just looked like it needed a doily so I used a large doily and cut it away to fit the card and used the other half of the bowl of strawberries and added the border in red and yellow with the ribbon and bow.  The BIG bee is from the dolor bin at Michaels too.

this is a closeup of the doily card.

and this is the inside of the doily card.
This was simple and fun to do, the pack came with 8 cards and envelopes so I have enough to do several more.
