Oriental Card and Pad

Today I've been working on this Oriental Card. I used Creative Memory paper for the main card was Cemant, Clay behind the Bamboo, Bamboo was stamped on Key Lime, cut out and layed onto Pesto then cut out again. The JOY stamp is Stampin' Up and was stamped on Whisper white and then chalked with Versa Magic Sahara Sand, cut out and back with Clay that was cut out again, I used Foam Squares for the 3-D affect. The Lanters came in the same pack as the Bamboo which was a Inkadinkado Clear Stamp set.
This is the inside of the Oriental Card. On the inside I used CTMH Olive for the full Bamboo from the Inkadinkado Clear Stamps set ( Asian -98626)

I also made a Oriental Pad. For this I used Bazzill-Frosty Pine for the card base. Then Bazzill-Dr Butter for behind the bamboo. The Peace sign is a SU set that I my friend Dell loaned me.

On the inside of the Oriental Pad I just used the Versa Watermark stamp to do the Orange Blossoms from the same stamp set as the rest.

Don's Shop Pad

I made this full sized Jr Pad for my husband. He like my half ones but he want a big boy pad... So I made him his one for his shop.



I put a Note's sheet to the inside cover from him to put things he always needs.

He really liked it too, already used it.

Stamp Swap

Today I hosted a stamping swap, never been to one before so this was really fun. Had my two stampin buds over, I learn so much from them. Dell is a SU consultant so she gets all the lates ideas. And Deb is SOOO creative, it's a great time whenever the three of us get together.

This is what we pigged out on. By this time we were at it for I don't know a few hours and still hadnt stamped one thing. We were to busy talking and showing each other what we've been working on.

What a fun day we had.

I remember when they left it was pouring down rain... sheets and sheets of water.

What a mess!!

But had a GREAT day!!

Bee cards.

I just got this cute SU set called "Just buzzin by". When I was looking thru Dawn's Stamping Studio http://dawnsstampingthoughts.typepad.com/dawns_stampin_studio/2009/03/gate-fold-card-.html and found that she had done a card like the one below I could not wait to try it.

This is the inside. I'm real pleased how it turned out!

I made these two cards using the same SU set. I used my Creative Memories punches to punch out the bees and backing. I put one of the bees on with dimenstons to give it a little lift, then added glitter to the hive, the bee wings, and the honey on the jar.

These two are the same just with black background.

Jump-in Frog Catching Fly's

Back on 3-25-09 I was working on this card with the jump-in frongs. I got the idea from Dawn's blog http://dawnsstampingthoughts.typepad.com/dawns_stampin_studio/2009/02/spiral-card-.html where she used bee's. I don't have that SU set YET, but will shortly I bet.... But I do have these Frogs from SU set Hoppy for You.
I made these for the first time on 3-25-09 but just got aroung to taking pic on 5-23 that's why the dates don't match the post.
