Poppy XL on Black

Today I tried something on Black card stock.....
Not my usual thing but wanted to try it since seeing it done on several blogs.
I used the stamp by PowerPoppy called what else.... Poppy XL,  I used white embossing power and colored it with colored pencils... .. It's OK, but I just don't have something right yet... need to work on this and watch a few more videos.
Just mounted it on white card base and left it blank so I could use it for what I need.
Will that's my first real try at coloring on black card stock and using pencils too......

Manly Birthday

Today I'm showing you another Manly Bd card... the hardest cards for me.  But the last few have gotten a little easier...
Here's the front closed view.  Not bad so far........
I just LOVE these Candles from Rubbernecker Stamps 60-020304 and I got the Die set to match... For the background I used My Favorite Things stencil Cloud Edges, and to color the candles I used my ZIG's Color brushes.
OH! and my little close pin was just used to keep the card closed so I could get a good pic.

Now this is the inside..... That brut of a Guy was from Art Impressions-Backyard Boss-4377.  He's really fun to use and he worked out nicely for this card I though.  You'll see what I mean on the next pic....

See when you open the card fully you get the whole affect.... I've been making several of the ti-fold card and like how this one worked out the best.
Will what do you think?????

BD Manly

Hi All,
Thought I better do a post for this Manly Birthday Card.... they are the hardest for me and with lots of Boys in the family it's a JOB......
This one is for my Brother,  he has been retired for several years now and is always needing something done.... he use to do a lot of it himself, but as we get older,,,, will lets just say it's better to have someone else do it........

Fist I made the tool box, and made the layers from there.... then decided it need a couple of pieces of wood planks... and some accounting paper.... it just went together from there...

Here's a better shot of the tool box and all....

and here's the inside.... some of the stamps are from MFT,,, and some are from a Flippin set I have...
I'm sure he'll get a kick out of it, and have a good laugh too... (at lest I hope so)...Te-He...
No mater how old he gets I'm still the baby.........

Belated BD

As much as I like making cards you would think I'd get them out on time..... will there seams to be something missing there.
Here's another BD card I made that I MISSED......

I made this card flat but if given locally I would have added foam between a few of these layers.
The stamp is by Rubbernecker and called Candle set... I have the matching die also but did not use it here.. and the words are from Taylored Expressions called Ducks in a Row.  Colored with Zigs  brushes.

Here's the inside where I used another Rubbernecker stamp called Cards on Time.
Will that's it for today.
See Ya!

Deck the Halls Z-fold

This week I received several things from Craft Stash located in the United Kingdom.  OMG let me say they have some really NEW things, (New to me anyway).... and the shipping price wasn't bad, but it took 2-weeks to get, but was will worth waiting.

Today I'll show you the die by Moonstone-Hunkydory called Deck the Halls, it has a total of 5-dies in it and was only $11.47 US.
Here we go....Please remember this is my first card with this die, So I know it need some work.

Here's my card as you would pull it out of the envelop.   It folds flat for mailing very nicely too.  This is the front of the 3 main dies, plus the Deck The halls at the bottom. I did not use the 5th die which was a string of light to put on the railing. When I colored this I used a dabber and Tea Dye and Crushed Oliver Distress Inks for the Tree, then went over that with my Zig's for the reds, greens, and browns.... went really fast too.

Now this view shows how it opens.... I found I had to color the middle panel on the inside too or it would have looked funny to me.  But was quite easy, I need to work on my brown more too.

This is a closer look at the inside, you can see you have plenty of room for a Merry Christmas stamp and say some special words if you like.

I wanted to show you the back of the first fold... it has the Red strip at the bottom, that's so the Deck the Halls die shows thru the front nicely.  And you can also see the second fold, this would be the front when folded.   Sorry if I've confused you........

Have any of you seen or used this type of die set... I'm sure there in the US but I could not find them when I went looking.  Anyway hope you enjoyed, and That's it for me today.
See Ya!

Deep Sympathy

We just talked with a family friend last night and found out someone very close to her pass on.....So this morning I looked in my stash of cards and found my Sympathy section very LOW and decided to create this.   I've been working with this flower several different ways and always like how it turned out but decided to try something different...
Here we go....

The Stamp set is from Technique Tuesday called Today Flower.....and the words came from MFT stamp set called Essential Sentiments.  I white heat embossed the flowers and used Bundled Sage Distress ink all over the background and flowers... then I colored over that with my Zig'.  For the curved edge I used a Spellbinders Curved Borders Two / S5-201.

On the inside I left if very simple and used the words from another MFT set called Clearly Sentimental about Sympathy.  I've used this set often and like all the Sentiments on it.

Will that's it for today, See Ya!
