Gift Set "J"

Here's a Gift Set I made for a friend of my Mom & Dad's that comes and sits with my Dad while I take my Mom shopping each week.  She is so good with him, he's blind and had a stroke that left him with very little short term memory, so always needs someone to be with him.

I very seldom post much about my family, but today I though it would be the perfect time to share our latest addition to our family!

"Belle"

This is the very first pic I have of her after my hubby picked her up..... Oh just look at those eyes!

Oh I hope not!!!!

Will here's the story;  back in February for my birthday my hubby asked me if I'd like to get another pooch??? it's been YEARS since my little weeny dog "Tosha" been gone... and then we had my Mother-in-Laws cats... but now all have been gone for several years...

My answer... YES :) :) :)

We had talked about a Beagle for some time now so the search was on. 

Wanted to get one from the Dog Pound, there's so many animals that need to be rescued...

So EVERY Friday we went to our neighboring Pounds ...

Then when my Hubby went up to Ga this last time he stopped by the Vet and there was a flayer about this cute little beagle Belle.  But she gets car sick.... Will it's a 6-hr drive to our place in Ga and we really don't like to drug up our animals.. so the man said we could give Belle a Test Drive over the weekend...so Don took her everywhere long trips, short trips, and no problems... So he went for it and we're hoping for the best on the trip home this week. 

Sorry this is ssssooooooooo long but I'm just excited I guess!!

A Friend Moved......

Hi Everyone! 

My dear Friend wanted me to make her a card for a Co-worker that had moved away a short while ago...and she misses working and having her to talk with everyday!! 

Yes they talk and email but a card is just a little special... I love getting something in the mail other than a bill and all the Junk-mail!!!

Here's a close up of the front.....

and this is the whole front.....

and here's the inside...

As always I hope when I make a card for someone else I want them to like it as much as I do.... and most of the time they like them more...!

Here's what I used;

• Card Size closed / 3.5 x 6.25
• Papers/ Creative Memories, Canson Watercolor 140-lb
• Inks & Pens & Coloring/ Close to my Heart- sponge with, Memento-Rich Coco for the front image to color
• 
  Stamps / CTMH-Around the Block D-1377

Does my Butt Look Big?

Yes, that is the question I asked for this weeks Color Throwdown-184???

These are just beautiful colors to work with too.....

Ok, here's the compleat question......????????

I say NO! I think it's a cute little butt!!!

Sorry my picture is a little washed out. Can't seam to get a good pic anymore...

If you look closely at the background paper you'll see it's honey cones.... just a little play with paper there...

and you know I had to fix up the inside too.....

But all in all this was a really FUN card for me....

I just love using Rubberneckers stamps, there always FUN!!!

Now that ribbon was a real fine from willlll, now that I'm thinking about it, I think it's been 3 or 4 years ago and don't think the store is open anymore.... bought it by the yard so don't have a name.. but it's just really cute!

I used GellyRoll clear star's on the wings and stinger, made it look sheer and sparkly too... but you can't see it in my dreadful pic...

and used black arond all the edges to make all the layers stand out.

Here's what I used;

• Card Size closed / 4.25 x 5.5
• Papers/ Creative Memories, SU, and DCWV- Linen Closet stack
• Inks & Pens & Coloring/ Close to my Heart- Black to sponge with, and Bamboo on the inside, Memento-Tuxedo Black for the front image to color, and SU-Watercolor Crayons for my coloring.
• Misc./ Ribbon-stash,
