Deck the Halls Z-fold

This week I received several things from Craft Stash located in the United Kingdom.  OMG let me say they have some really NEW things, (New to me anyway).... and the shipping price wasn't bad, but it took 2-weeks to get, but was will worth waiting.

Today I'll show you the die by Moonstone-Hunkydory called Deck the Halls, it has a total of 5-dies in it and was only $11.47 US.
Here we go....Please remember this is my first card with this die, So I know it need some work.

Here's my card as you would pull it out of the envelop.   It folds flat for mailing very nicely too.  This is the front of the 3 main dies, plus the Deck The halls at the bottom. I did not use the 5th die which was a string of light to put on the railing. When I colored this I used a dabber and Tea Dye and Crushed Oliver Distress Inks for the Tree, then went over that with my Zig's for the reds, greens, and browns.... went really fast too.

Now this view shows how it opens.... I found I had to color the middle panel on the inside too or it would have looked funny to me.  But was quite easy, I need to work on my brown more too.

This is a closer look at the inside, you can see you have plenty of room for a Merry Christmas stamp and say some special words if you like.

I wanted to show you the back of the first fold... it has the Red strip at the bottom, that's so the Deck the Halls die shows thru the front nicely.  And you can also see the second fold, this would be the front when folded.   Sorry if I've confused you........

Have any of you seen or used this type of die set... I'm sure there in the US but I could not find them when I went looking.  Anyway hope you enjoyed, and That's it for me today.
See Ya!

Deep Sympathy

We just talked with a family friend last night and found out someone very close to her pass on.....So this morning I looked in my stash of cards and found my Sympathy section very LOW and decided to create this.   I've been working with this flower several different ways and always like how it turned out but decided to try something different...
Here we go....

The Stamp set is from Technique Tuesday called Today Flower.....and the words came from MFT stamp set called Essential Sentiments.  I white heat embossed the flowers and used Bundled Sage Distress ink all over the background and flowers... then I colored over that with my Zig'.  For the curved edge I used a Spellbinders Curved Borders Two / S5-201.

On the inside I left if very simple and used the words from another MFT set called Clearly Sentimental about Sympathy.  I've used this set often and like all the Sentiments on it.

Will that's it for today, See Ya!

Happy Birthday Tri-fold Balloons

Today's card is another Tri-fold I wanted to try... Tell me what you think.

Like my close-pin to keep the card closed.... I tried everything and then just went with the close-pin...
It look like a normal card when you take it out of the envelop.....
But Then......

You get the tri-fold of Balloons in the clouds... When I went to pick up the Stencil for the Clouds (something I've been wanting for YEARS) I saw this Stencil for all these different Balloons... I ask you, How could I resist??? So I got 2 different cloud stencils and this Balloon stencil too... LOVE them both. But got to do better with all the strings... need some to go behind some of the balloons, but for my first try I was happy...   The Die at the top of the card is from MFT too, but the words down low are from an OLD Fiskars set called Make a Wish Quotes Birthday.

Will that's it for now... See Ya!

Now for the inside.
I used the same cloud stencil and the words at the top are from the same Stampingbella  set as the Ice cream chicks.  The words just below that are from another OLD CTMH set called Happy Birthday / C1257, I used this set all the time

Ladies- Birthday Card

Hi There,
Today I'm sharing a BD card I made for my Sister-in-law.... It's simple for mailing but still has some glitz.  See what you think;

This is the front, I told you it was simple...
Just a bit of gilts with Washi tape at the bottom and a pretty scalloped edge from Spellbinders Card Creator  Curved Borders Two around the flower.  And the Flower is from IndigoBlu-Stamps called Anenome Comer Dinkie / A-D.  I just love this flower its just shaped so soft. The words outside and in are from CTMH set called Birthday Script B1208... Old.....

And this is the inside, very simple too, same scalloped edge and same flower just at the top with the edge of washi tape again.

No problems in the mail either....

Buzzin' By

It's been a while since I posted, but had to share this quit little Bee card I made.  I took the idea from Nicole Spohr (click on her name and it will take you to her card) ti-fold cards that she does... I didn't have the stamp set she used but had one in my stash that I used many, many times but never like this.
Here we go, this is the card unfolded...

I used the Stampin'Up set called just Buzzin'By, I used everything in that set and also some of the flowers and bugs from the CTMH set called Wonderful Charms.... Love both sets and have used them often.  For my background I used a embossing folder called Retro Squares and then hit it with some Mustard Seed Distress ink.  Not really honey cones but it was the closed thing I had.
And here's the card folded...

And one more kind of open...

Will that's it... Hope I did Nicole  proud....!
